I know! It’s horribly addicting! The choreography, with the slowed tempo, deeper voice, and charisma, breathe extra life into what was already a beautiful song. It’s intoxicating.
I rarely catch such era-defining moments on awards shows, but I saw this live and mind blown! 🤯 The transition with the original Barbie heads? Pure acid trip! AWESOME
I love how he got just how surreal it was to even be nominated for an Oscar for singing (of all things) and just leaned so hard into it. I'm not a fan of the movie, or him, or the color pink. But this performance is not to be missed, ignored or even just seen once. Changed my perception of him completely. Bravo!
I can't believe the dude is gonna to snatch even more adoration after this and his upcoming flick, THE FALL GUY. Like the most down to earth fella that isn't afraid to garner laughs.
Old enough to be his mum, but I would totally hang a poster of Ryan Gosling in his sparkly, hot pink Gucci suit on my bedroom wall like a teenage girl 😍😂
@@Nina_6621 oh yeah, between Ryan & Harrison Ford ( at any age) it's all good. And I just saw the cowboy of my dreams at Kroger's! Holy crap! Talk about HOT!!! He had some seasoning too! 🤠😎
It seemed that him in pink, on pink stairs, surrounded by several men in tuxedos, was an homage to Marilyn Monroe’s “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend.”
Watched this thing live. It was slightly towards the end of the show and we'd so been waiting for Ryan and the Kens to do this thing. And then finally the lighting was getting pink and he was down there behibd Margot with his sparkling cowboy hat on - because he still kinda wishes patriarchy was about horses 😅 - and we were all screaming like teenage girls in our pajamas. ^^ I genuinely think the Academy nominated this great song just to see Ryan and the Kens perform it live. FYI: Every single nominee for best original song would have deserved it this year. Those five live performances were five major highlights!
I 💕 everything about this performance! Ryan was pure magic! 🪄🙌🔥To me it’s even more special, bc my twin brother’s name is Ken! Now I have all these new Kenxpressions to use on him! 💕😂💕
Yes, Ryan’s performance was amazing! And Billie’s performance was a little basic, especially for her. But overall I think Billie & Fineas’ song was better…if you listen, the movie creators even used the music from the song (performed by an orchestra) throughout the film!
What a shame that these two amazing songs came up against one another-if ever there was an occasion for a dual winning nomination this is surely it? Billie and her brother cast an absolute spell with "What was I Made For?", and The Kens were simply perfect. I will always remember this as the Oscar that should have been shared.
Looking so forward to the day one of our great directors figures out that Ryan Gosling IS “The Scarlet Pimpernel “! He’s Best Actor Oscar is waiting for the right guy or gal to take it on! No one has the looks, the comic timing and the action chops that Ryan has. He was made for that role! If you agree, like this comment and let’s get it done! PLEASE!
