Interesting take on OmniTell! It's weird that you're interested in playing a fantasy game and don't know how 'Orthanc' is pronounced. It's from Tolkien... On a side note, while I'm nitpicking here - Phlage is either "Flay'j" if you go by regular English or "Flage" if you want to be fancy and say it's referencing the river Phlegethon from Greek myths. Not "Flaaaaaazh", ffs.
I’m glad your intros are typically short, and appreciate breaking things down that are important. I like that you don’t overexplain brainstorm and swords to plow shares to milk more time lol
Hey, do you think this deck is strong enough to compete against the current metagame? I have a few wildcards and I always liked affinity, but idk if this is worth crafting right now or if we should wait for more support cards like thoughtcast and urza's saga. At least since affinity is not popular right now, no one is running artifact hate, and this could help.
This deck is just insane, and unlike other boring show and tell this one is so fun. Btw, i am the one who commented yesterday about this deck, thank you Tako for building it and playing. I am going to spend all my wildcards to build it haha
The first game is so sick. Btw, i am the one who commented on this deck yesterday. Thanx Tako for building this and playing. Deck is so insane. I'm going to spend all my wildcards to build it haha
i have been running this deck and i included 2 copies of the creation eldrazi cause it could be an alt win off woodlands or show cause hexproof from all colors and anny 2
Know what I like in your videos? Is the real games happening! Sometimes you loose, others you win. Without edit. CgB and LVD are super cool, but I cant apreciate like I did before I knew they cut some matches. Good work
HHNNNGGH, please... just one lotus field! maybe a playset of chance for glory? im sure it could actually be card worth playing in timeless wint stifle already being a good card by itself
@28:08, hardly anyone is a Tolkien scholar. Which is to say there isn't really a regulatory body to govern fantasy based words. And much of Tolkien's world is barely and only loosely based on existing languages. With that said, most of the LotR films did a decent enough job with pronouncing words (the fans dont seem to mind said pronunciations). I hear you saying |or•thĭ•nŏck| vs the more popularised |or•thănk|. Naturally there is not ONE right answer of how to say “orthanc”. Finnish and Swedish (probably closest to Elvish) would probably pronounce this as two syllables (see Google translate: [censored link] )
@9:06, you wanted ramp 4 colourless mana right? lol (I get the red added boarded could mean many things and it doesnt obviously mean 'can't be countered'.)
Nice. I just made a similar one yesterday. I personally like bant better because of the Oko. I have recently been playing the sneak attack show and tell deck but added in Ugin land with Devourer and Ulamog. Devourer allows you to look around at top 4 to find combo piece and ugin land can allow turn 2 ST or turn 3 Sneak Attack. If you are able to Ugin a Devourer and attack with Ulamog that’s a great Annihilator. (My best was a Devourer exiling a 15/15 wurm and annihilating a whole board.)
good stuff! two things of note are red can let you slot in arena of glory and ive found treasure cruise can slot in the deck as a 1-2 of without conflicting with eacape much
ya I was worried about escape but I bet 1~2 is fine. As for arena of glory, I'm ok with he card in stuff like boros, but might be too hard to cast stuff such as mana drain.

At min 3:30 why didn't you crack that fetchland to get a land at the end of enemy turn? I saw you often don't do it, and get the 2 shock damage the next turn, with no reason. Those 2 lifes usually make a difference between a win and a loss.
I think it’s often correct not to crack a fetch until the last possible moment if you are playing with brainstorm . Also a reason you may not play out all your lands
I really love these kind of decks, where u have a combo and they try to disrupt the combo, but hey u have to deal with the creatures and yep we got another combo route..prosperous inkeeper could fit in the list with the treasure token that provides and its green color helps for chord..rope line attendant might be the mvp of the engine, and modern doesnt have access to it.soultrader completely overshadows woe strider and Bartolomeo..great addition.thx for the video
At 4:23 this looks like a pretty bad misplay. If you had instead used mana drain on their 3-drop, you would’ve been in a better spot. The board would show you with Uro and Proctor on the field at the cost of a mana drain in hand. They would have ocelot and ragavan, but be down their phlage. Because you have no kill spells or board wipes in hand, you need to use your counter spells in this position to keep their field in check. It doesn’t matter if you’re wanting to save the counter for something bigger later, they’re representing a threat that you can’t deal with on board
