I see in your draft you have 5 top bows. On a wagon that long I would thing one or two more would be more common. There is an excellent craftsman here in the USA who is working on an old wagon somewhat similar. It also has 5 top bows but he says that is very unusual. He says 6 was mort common and occasionally got one extra. He is working on 2 projects at the present time. Might check him out. Here's his most recent video. He is a professional blacksmith, woodworker, you name it. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FPxvOnEWYZQ.html
Excellent video as always really looking forward to watching them. Not sure on the very iffy housing of the 35 😮 think it would be better to turn that container around to lower the door and make it a bit safer. Great to see the sun out hopefully things are on the up 👍
Hello. I watch quite a lot of re-builds and AI must have partnered us😁 Totally enjoyed this and now onto the stairs. Will steadily work my way through all. Love your little chirpy inserts 😂 My dad's hobby and passion was carpentry and I loved mucking about in his workshop amongst the tools and sawdust (always in his company). He was a master on the lathe and would have loved doing this stuff, sadly died too young. I recognise so many of the tools he used. ❤Louise in Jeffreys Bay South Africa.
I would definitely change the hitch on the Landrover to the ball and pin type. They are only about £50 new. I've not watched the first video so I assume you have checked the legality of this trailer in France. It wouldn't be allowed on a UK road, firstly for not having its own brakes (assuming it will be over 750kg) and secondly because we aren't allowed to build our own any more. Love it, my kind of engineering!
Hard core is not suitable to put around drain pipes. The hard edges will destroy the pipes eventually. Better suited is a 10 cm layer of washed, round gravel all around the pipe and all of that wrapped in geo textile. And since it is meant to collect rainwater it is not a good idea to cover it with soil.
"now been discontinued". You: I see you have exactly what I need! I'll take 5. Supplier 5 minutes later: Hey, Marco! I thought we got rid of those weird bolt things three years ago. Why are we still selling them?
Go to the essential craftsman channel and he can help you with the proper way to harden your tounge hitch unless you have already completed your project If there is more blacksmithing in your future his channel will be invaluable
