Self confessed John Deere enthusiast, particularly the Sound Gard 30-60 series of tractors. We operate our tractors and machinery on our farm near Longford, Tasmania Australia and on clients properties for our Agricultural contracting business.
I was today years old when i realised they made a 60 series. Im in ireland where the last available sg2 was 50 series. After that Manheim started producing the 6000 and 7000 series We do have two 55 series though that were imported from the US.
Great video. I am also a fan of just watching/hearing the tractor work. I have some 4960 videos of my own. I do a little explaining of how equipment works, but no techno over dubs.
I have an 8430 and it is pumping hydraulic fluid into crankcase of the engine at an alarming speed. Within a few mins it fills the engine above full. Nobody up here seems to know why. O e man mentioned return line from the clutch housing may be blocked but I have no idea if this is a thing. Any ideas??
Also Scone and Woodhall in there, all pretty cutting edge for its day but haven’t things changed! I love the footage of the 4450 tracking diagonally up the paddock keeping a straight line with the row marker, no auto steer to do it for you 😁
randy krochak it had a brand new replacement engine fitted back when Deere were producing them which wasn’t really the right one for the tractor. It had the fuel turned up and it has always been the intention to fit the cooler off the old engine but it hasn’t happened as yet. Still pulls fine without it but one day we might get it on and wind the fuel off a little.
Shouldn't have rebuilt it , Deere had a 50 series replacement program, or do a kinze repower , was the best option, use the old engine on an irrigation pump or a generator where it could loaf and not get stressed .
