Love that! I too feel more creative at this time of year. Guess it’s the beauty of change that inspires me. As for modular - I almost fell into tha t hole too. I talked to some modular users and tried some setups at a local synth show and I’m definitely not doing it. It’s essentially the opposite of what you do. You have one or two devices and you explore deeply within those limitations, which is how art happens. Modular seems to be just the act of never being happy with what you have. There’s always a better oscillator/VCA/sequencer… And most of them are digital now anyway, so it’s worth comparing how the external modulation options of several hardware modules compare to the internal modulation options of a decent digital synth (like the digitakt). For me, linking together the little boxes I know (with midi, CV etc) is the way to go. I’m tempted by the candy store of Eurorack modules but ultimately, I never hear any music from that platform that I couldn’t make with traditional synths.
Never thought tiny frogs and Pikmin would have such a profound impact..... Really loved this, your music and editing style is so unique and evocative :)
Interesting that this starts with the view of plane since I've always thought of the M:C as a "plane synth" - maybe something to do with the colours or the lovely clean, digital sound? And yet you also take this machine to such an organic place. This was a delight and matches so nicely with the thoughtful description and range of footage. A really evocative and beautiful 4 minutes :)
Huh! I never thought of the M:C as a plane but I've always thought it reminded me of old grey computers, which I love! I guess it resembles different technologies for different people :) Thank you so much for such nice remarks on my video! It motivates me to keep making these!
It’s my fav child for sure :) (but don’t be fooled, this is the first time that I added postfx!) thank you for your comment! It always makes my day that you come back!
He venido a devolver el comment, he conectado mucho con este video, la música es genial. : ) Acabo de mudarme y creo que necesito también el manual de como de hacer amigos a los 30 😅
Ahhhhhh!!! Thank you!!!!! 🙏🏻 I’m so glad you think so! When I finished I said “I don’t think I need anything to say in caption, this speaks for itself” haha
I’m glad you like it! Somehow it worked just liked that, I didn’t need to make anything more complicated! I can’t live without some rhythmic elements in my ambient music ~
Thank you!!! I painted a lot before my trip and wanted to share some snippets :) That clay double-faced person is amazing, I turn it depending on the mood I’m channeling for the day. I need to make more for sure, I’ll hit you up if I make some more :)
Thank you! I agree! There’s so much potential in these two. My channel started with just the M:C and I don’t see myself upgrading any soon from any of these two!
Wonderful! Nice to have you back. I too share your feelings about family. I like that tipping point where they’re just not so important anymore, when the balance of life experience pre and post leaving home tips to the latter. I think it’s when we can fully say that we are our own person :) Love that painting at the end by the way. Would love an album but please paint the cover art yourself 😊
Thank you for your support as always! That makes sense, I do see that pre and post leaving home/country balance and how relationships change. At the end of the day, the people in my daily life now are a different breed of family :). Thanks! You can see my art on instagram @newflanged_ (I was just sharing yesterday my cover art for my incoming EP! Stay tuned!!)
