Great video. Looked like an awesome road trip. That 990 looks beaut. I’ve sourced a 2012 990. I’m interested in buying it. 38 000km. Limited maintenance history and only one key..? Your thoughts..?
@@jethrohill6102 thank you for the kind words! You will not go wrong with a 990😃i just looove this bike! I have also had to do a couple of things on mine but its still worth it, this is a 2008 with over 70 000km on the clock
@@jethrohill6102 mine also came with only 1 key, in the 3 or so months i had it, i needed a new batter, new sprockets and chain, rear brakes bleeding nipple stripped, clutch fluid had to be replaced and the radiator fan seized up and needed replacing. These bikes are an absolute pleasure, with a LOT of grunt!!! Won't ever sell mine as they are like collectors items now. A blank key can easily be obtained from a KTM dealer and just be cut and i would say do a full service once you get the bike and just go from there, does it have the upgraded thermostat where the fan comes on earlier? The 990 does tend to run a bit hot but they want to run wild!
How do those duratrac rt's do overall? ( wet dry mud rock etc...) Curious because it's a toss up between those and the Falken Wildpeak AT4W for me right now..
Hi there, looking at the pack from the main side, not the back straps side, on the lower right on the front of the pack where the name "Baltoro" is it should say Baltoro 75 there
I love the white lettering. That being said I don't think they are offering this in the United States? At least according to the goodyear website. I haven't seen them with white lettering anywhere on the website.
I recently bought the Osprey Aether pro 70L but took one look inside and realised that fitting in all my cold weather gear would be next to impossible. Strongly considering this 75L pack in the medium for a 6000m peak in the Indian Himalayas. I'm looking to upgrade from an old and heavy, but rugged Lowe Alpine Cerro Torre- the front opening makes things much easier. Good review mate 👍 I do wonder about the mesh on those shoulder straps and if you found that abrasive at all? I have another Lowe Alpine pack with a similar mesh on the padding and in a t-shirt I found it a little irritating on the shoulders. The sleeping bag compartment does look a little on the narrow side is my only other concern. Apparently fitting a -10°C bag in there is next to impossible.
Thanks for the kind words man! Ohky let me start with the shoulder straps, i know what you mean with them as i also in the past had a similar situation but i honestly cannot say that these straps have been giving me any problems in that regard, i have spent long days on the mountains with a heavy pack and it is always comfortable to me. As to the sleeping bag compartment, i have a very old hollow fiber -1 bag thats quite bulky and with a bit of work (stuffing straps on the bag) i made it fit, it does then however take up the whole compartment fully I hope that helps and that you manage to get yourself the Gregory, its really a great pack in my opinion
I just put these exact tires on my truck. Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac RT’s and they are not loud at all. In fact quieter than Cooper Rugged Trek tires! Drives very smooth but has aggressive tread! Pretty impressed! This tire is where aggressive tread meets smooth comfortable ride!
Loving them! The review will be out soon, but had them in all kinds of conditions and they are really doing well. They are not noticeable on the tar in terms of noise yet, but im sure if they get to 30% they will be noisy
I would agree! Phenomenal tire! Aggressive tread with a smooth comfortable ride, can’t beat it! I wanted my tires to look more aggressive but have a great ride too for long highway trips for vacation.
Yeah i have not had any issues whatsoever, only time one died on me was because a fuse melted as i was running the big lightbar for 3 hours but it was an easy fix and they still fire up. I have also been driving very corrugated roads so they have been out through the test
There are a couple, so the hip belt design changed but it allowed for bigger pockets. Then the suspension system is totally different as well - and the way you adjust the size of the back. I would say those are the main factors.
@@ivansonnekus I can buy the older version for 100$ less in a sale, would you say the price difference is worth the older one or do you think I should buy the newer one?
Hmmm if the old one is your size and fits well then go for it, i enjoy the versatility of the back adjustment on the new one, as my old one didn't fit 110% but the old pack is still solid and well worth it
Nice ride Ivan! Love it! Keep up the good work 👊🏻 The answer to your first question is the Snowmaster Travelers series dual compartment Fridge/Freezer 😁
