Man.. I’m stuck.. 07 civic got loc. running JL 500.. worked fine .. till I try to put .4 channel alpine.. jump off JL .. alpine was grounded .. power wire.. only thing I can think of .. naked wires touched.. factory h u went black.. no sound.. tried unhook battery.. reset code… nothing worked.. checked all fuses.. did I toast h u???
The "Kicker" brand line output converter is worth every penny as it doesn't have a power wire. It gets the power from the speaker wire connection. Nor does it have a "Gain" knob, adjusting automatically to your system. It also offers one of "the best" low noise/distortion signals to your amp. Seen it tested.
That's what I have but I'm getting alot of noise from the engine, if I open any door it stops, if I shut the engine off it stops top. I'm getting frustrated lol I've grounded it, I've grounded the amp with the big 3, maybe ground to the head unit too?
4:48 u gotta start it first brother or you'll get a false reading drive to the corner store or somewhere close then u check it after it's cycled the engine
I knew I wanted a non turbo but I didn't realize it's a 2.0L I thought it wouldvebeen a 1.5 or 1.8 but actually a 2.0L with some inline pro sleeves shit
You can also do a sound tube to the cabin. If I remember correctly, I saw a video of a supercharged Mustang, that had a sound tube from the intake if the supercharger, to the driver area. It was just a pipe, from between the filter & supercharger, to this hard plastic screen or cap on the other end, vibrating the air like a speaker, bringing the natural supercharger sounds right to the driver.
So I adjusted the gains on this particular LOC before I realized I wasn't supposed to and now i don't know where the proper setting should be. Can you help me in resetting the gains to where it sounding.properly?
Just want to add a caveat to your remark at 1:12. Something having a lot of good reviews on Amazon is not a sign that the product is good. It's predominantly bots, and Amazon hiding bad reviews. Louis Rossmann demonstrated that recently on his channel.
