Hello there! Here you'll find covers of classical music that I make during my spare time, all of which utilize sounds from videogames! My videos aren't in any way meant as improvements on timeless classics, but rather as curiosities for those interested. If you're able to hear an old classic in a different way and perhaps even experience it anew, then my job here will be done!
A couple of things to keep in mind: -Make sure to use the Playlists if you want to find works with certain soundfonts or from certain composers!
-I'm currently taking requests! ***NOTE*** New subscribers get increased priority for their first requests ;)
That's pretty much it, though, so sit back and enjoy the music!
Thank you! Regarding your request, I’ll have time see about that. As I said in this video’s description, this movement was originally requested with the Majora’s Mask soundfont, but the soundfont proved to be not as fitting or effective for the piece as I had hoped. We’ll see if the second Kyrie fares better, though!
I am curious about the relationship between the entertainer and Mario music. It feels so much like a Mario song, as if it directly influenced about 70% of all that early Mario music. If anyone has further thoughts or observations please share them. A Google search doesn’t turn up a whole lot
The short answer to this is that Koji Kondo pulled from a variety of influences in his soundtracks for Mario games, including Latin American genres, jazz, and of course, ragtime! Even more than The Entertainer, listen to Maple Leaf Rag and then the Athletic Theme from Super Mario World and you're bound to immediately notice a resemblance hahaha
Still very much looking forward to Rhapsody in Blue. Whilst I wait, I might also request Dance of the Hours with the Shin Megami Tensei 1 soundfont if possible?
I'm sorry to report that I've given up on the Rhapsody in Blue idea. The results were falling way below the standards of what I'd like to see up on the channel. Here are a couple of versions I made with other soundfonts, though, if it's any consolation: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vrDdf5-0234.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XVFzXdwIkm0.html Regarding Dance of the Hours, I've never tried out the Shin Megami Tensei 1 soundfont before so, again, we'll have to see how that turns out.
The most glorious game to give its soundfont to the most epic operatic drama cycle! Wunderbar! Can't wait for the others well famous orchestral passages of that magnum opus inter pares (also in OoT tessitura), if you had such idea in mind ofc! I would be curious to listen to a rendition of the Dawn from Götterdämmerung (the very first two minutes before the Brünnhilde/Siegfried duet). It could be held as a kind of extended version of the jingle you will actually hear when a new day sets up on the Hyrule field. As the Gold, the Ocarina of Time lies underwater, awaiting to be retrieved, and to change the face of the world...
Thank you! I'm glad it's proven satisfactory :) Regarding your suggestion, I'm afraid I haven't been able to find MIDI files of that passage so far. Unfortunately, there aren't as many MIDI files of Götterdämmerung as one might want or expect, but I'm glad to report that at least one other excerpt from it with this exact soundfont will be coming out very soon! I hope you look forward to it.
I just found you today, but i adore your work! i was specifically looking for Classical Music in Pokemon style & there where so many great tunes!! Would you ever consider to do Ride of the Valkyries but in Pokemon style too?
That piece was actually already requested with another soundfont, but I could certainly add it to the list and see if I can pull it off someday! For the time being, you can find other Wagner renditions with Pokémon soundfonts on the channel's Wagner playlist :)
That idea has potential but I’ll have to see about that. I’ve historically had trouble making the Ocarina of Time piano sounds to work. Among its many apparent limitations, it can’t seem to play all 88 notes of a real piano. I’ll give it a shot and see if I can make it work, though!
I know you’re yet to upload the Wagner piece I suggested soon, but I do have another one that just came to mind, would you want to do Respighi’s Pines of Rome under the RSE soundfont?
I think the RSE soundfont might struggle a bit with that piece mainly because it doesn't have that many instruments at the end of the day, despite how reliable it is otherwise, but I'll make sure to try it out someday!
I discovered this suite recently and I fell in love with it since the very first listening. I'm slowly learning all its pieces on the piano but I kind of fear the amount of effirt It will take to master this piece in particular. That said, I love it with all my soul and I'm so happy that one of my favorite yt channels decided to cover it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! This made me feel great
