I just found your page. I’m from Gulfport. Novice fisher here, would learn to love more. I see you’re by ingalls here. I don’t have a kayak with pedals but I really want to catch some reds and trout in my kayak or canoe. Any pointers?
Let brother know I come down to pascagoula about twice a month to fish and I live just above Montgomery. Love the area to fish. Mostly after flounder and mangrove.
Had a question about one of your old sheepshead kids from back in Mississippi. You used a stringer to hold your fish. Anything special about it or just a large stringer. Wondering because of the teeth.
I recently purchased some land near Graveline and was curious how deep the bayou is on average? I heard they just finished dredging it. I was also curious if you ever see Alligators in Graveline? I enjoy your videos and cant wait to fish the Mississippi coast. Thanks.
5-7 ft on average. Out in the main channel there’s spots that run 15+ ft deep. Yes I’ve seen a few gators but never worries about them. Thanks for the support and good luck!
I know im very late commenting on this video, but have you had better luck with the barnacles or the fiddler crabs when it comes to sheepshead? Weve been out at the OS pier and Diberville pier, and i just cant seem to catch one to save my life
As for bait, they both work well. With sheepshead, if they’re there, they will typically eat. Find a way to scrape the barnacles off pilings to chum up the waters some. I’ve taken a paint scraper duct taped to a long piece of pvc and scraped pilings from piers. Good luck out there!
How do you protect your kayak against those bridge pilings or don't you bother? I just got a new kayak and I don't want to tear it up against the barnacles? Also, what brand is that fish bag you have, that looks like a better setup than a hard cooler.
