Just my unsolicited opinion but I'd delete the catch can and run the stock crankcase ventilation setup, even if only to see if your short term fuel trims normalize further from what you show in this video in regards to negative ~20's STFT at idle. Not normal. BTW, I stuck a cone filter on the end of my W210 E430 intake because in that car it is so easy. Yes it sucked in a bunch of hot air in the spot behind the passenger headlight, but it sounded AMAZING at the intake switchover. However, after a while it made my STFTs go haywire just like yours. That problem went away after I put the stock airbox back in. Just sayin. Thanks for another interesting video. 👍
So that's really strange, you should say it runs lean because of the extra "dirty" air. And it's still strange that after Josh is trimming already a lot, it is still a little rich 🤔😬
Came across the video after buying a CLK55 convertible. Do you know if upgraded sway bars will work with a A209 55? And I hasn’t heard of a Spring Booster. Definitely going to check it out!
I have check oil preassure in my CLK 55 and it is looking good. 1.5 bar at 700 RPM and 3.2 bar at 3000 RPM. I think that I will leave it for now, there is no point to change the oring.
@@ANDERZENAMG I feel it I’m planning on efi swapping my 1983 380sec I thought the same thing reached out to some shops in the Portland area turns out it’s more in reach than I thought coming from a brokie. Regardless keep em coming
Getting the cage and tube front end design finalized on the the Type 3 AMG build (72 vw squareback on cut down c32 chassis) Live would be cool I'll join in if the times work out
Wow nice doorcards, I first thought it were wide body parts 😂 About the loose "parts" in the door, that was a factory sound deadening plate what was on the outer door plate, In my time as mechanic they curl up and smeared the windows with black stripes😅
Always gets me when you swap a pulley and get the whistle even louder... Unfortunately on the m112k it's not as prominent as I'm the m113k. Was excited when i did my c32, extra noses sound exactly the same
Before you swap to a fixed upper pulley, Check / clean the intake air sensor and get a sprint booster or a pedal commander. A fixed upper pulley will loosen the lower crank pulley bolt, keep an eye on it.
thx for the info the other day on IG chat bro.. got the slk230 on jackstands about to rip everything out and the m113k on a engine stand it just got to me the next day after i hit you up. Gonna leave it on the stand and do all upgrades i want to it before i get it in. thx again and keep up the good content.
how are you planning on keeping iat's cool with that high boost fixed pulley setup? i dont see split cooling or tank, and there would be very little room in front of that car for extra heat exchangers...
@@righthandjosh4011 ok, josh. imo, he will not be able to daily drive that car in traffic, but it will be fun at night. i agree that clutch engage is way too messy, so trying to setup system on my high boost clutched e55, where kompressor engages soon as off the brake pedal, then back on again once brake applied
@@jasonpage7852 I’ve been daily driving for the past 4 days no issues. 10-15f above ambient and about 30-40f above on pulls but recovery time is pretty much identical to before
@@ANDERZENAMGlet us know how it is if get stuck in traffic; i also have sl55 with 74fixed split and two h/x behind grille, not driven daily, but did get caught in horrible jam one time, and temps kept creeping up and up. it was stressful, i imagine not unlike range anxiety with ev cars
