For me, MK1 doesn't look like a forest but more like a muddy green with a certain ochre touch... MK 2 is summery and refreshing - it immediately puts you in a good mood. I like it much better and it is also more versatile. The contrast with the black dial is also more harmonious.
QUESTION, MANY PEOPLE WHO OWEN THIS GUN SAY IT HAS MISFIRE ISSUES and front sight falling off....what has been your experience at the range ?....ALL 1911'S THESE DAYS HAD THEIR BARRELS THROATED FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELIMINATING MISFIRES WITH DIFFERNT KINDS OF AMMO BY THE MANUFacturer during it's production....i am hoping the people who wrote all these negative comments were beginners and/or set ups.....please respond, because these comments are killing this weapon.....thank you.....
I’ve read all the comments. My unhappiness is the creep, definitely not a crisp break, and the overall weight of the pull. I don’t have a safe full but have past experience with other bench guns and hunting guns. I agree that a hunting gun used for 300 yards or less, mostly, has no business under 3 1/2 lbs.remembering that we’re hunting in sometimes cold conditions, no one is speaking of how temps affect the light triggers, if any. All this said I don’t believe I’m going to roll the dice and see if what I have can be made sweet. Spending a few dollars once and removing the issue from mind is money well spent. I too was spoiled with my Savage model 12 that was dialed down to three pounds, shot it well. If I wanted a real light, consistent trigger from a factory gun I’d look up a red blade trigger in an LRPV and move forward. 6 ounces to 2 1/2 pounds is lighter than my moderately trained, non competitive brain can become accustomed to. Confused. I purchased discovery second focal plane scope and I thought I made a mistake not purchasing a first vocal plane scope because I’m going to be using my rifle for long-distance target shooting up to 300 yards maybe a little bit more. I was speaking to Hunter who knows some professional target shooters and some ex snipers who prefer second focal playing over first vocal plane, which surprised me. What’s your opinion?
I shot PRS for years, and I can' think of zero top shooters that would consider SFP. YEARS ago that's all the military had, but I remember when they the rangers were getting the 3-15 F1 scopes. I assure you FFP is the way to go, and what most tactical / practical long range guys are shooting. If you're only ever shooting at 1 distance and on max power, than it really does not matter.
Oh man , Finally the video i needed. The same torque wrench, the same bottom screw and three top screws on the scope rings as mine! Yes, i am that perfect…… I hope you’re correct on the torque though…. 😂
@@Ryansrangereport No, I was definitely wrong. I'm just confused. Ejection didn't look too strong in the video. The feed issue looked like one I had seen from undergassing. But you're good to go now?
Correct me if I’m wrong but the MK 2 is the actual 70th anniversary release. That is why the green has a different shade. I think it will be a short run.
