Oversize Rob here that’s actually a great challenge. Only thing I found out though by using a five iron only it’s easier to par the holes because you hit everything straight. It’s easy to par course. Keep up the good job.
Heading down to Myrtle Beach in August, I've been watching all your videos! What are the best courses (condition wise) around the $50-$80 price range? Looking to play two courses
@@KamMudger cool, thank you! … Legends arrowhead heritage willbrook man o war wizard prestwick plenty of options in that price range still during August
@ParkerPlaysGolf I was actually pleased with how I played, really should have been an 84 but we had a great time and really appreciate you vlogging these courses 👍
That course is a grinder course. It grinds you, your game and your equipment up. There are courses all over America like this one. The possibilities for this course are great, just needs new management and a good clean up. I saw a course on RU-vid the other day that is going back old school with sand greens. I actually saw those over on Blackmore and Founders and I paid $75.00 green fees at both. At least they trying to take care of part of the problem. Your honesty is great though.
@@zanefoster9352 I’ve seen pictures and videos of sand greens, pretty sure I’d rather putt sand than what I experienced this day……It needs some work that’s for sure, it’ll be interesting to see if that happens or closing for more homes happens first Thank you & thanks for watching
@@ParkerPlaysGolflove the channel. Great videos, great content. From someone who comes down once a year these types of videos helps others make decisions on what is a good course and what is not. Keep of the great work.
You play Caledonia for the scenery as much as anything else. There are a couple of hokie holes but it would still be in my top 10 . I was golf director for the largest golf & resort group in Myrtle Beach for years and played over 100 courses . Some were torn up for real estate development. In no particular order regardless of price and not only based on layout but ambience and the total experience of playing 10 rounds of golf if I were playing .. TPCM , Caledonia, Grande Dunes Resort , Pine Lakes ( first course in Myrtle Beach) Tidewater, Dunes Club, King's North, Barefoot Fazio, Barefoot Dye and World Tour. Others to consider.. Heritage, Long Bay, Glen Dornoch , Oyster Bay, True Blue and a few others.
u get what u get when u play by yourself. i did that a lot. what i hate is being behind a foursome that can't play dead in a western, and are drinking and loud and stupid
really enjoyed this course . played it after dornach. played really well there.was three under going into last three holes and bogeyed all three. those last ones are hard
really enjoy your channel parker. brings back memories of many happy golf rips down there. ive played most of those courses.played some that arent there anymore, like heather glen. loved that course. it was beautiful
u young ppl are so picky. when i was a kid ,i played courses where you had to bring your own grass.if it wasent for crabgrass there would be no grass.times have changed and im glad, but we still had fun
Hey Parker, playing in pawleys on Thursday, I'm a member of Reserve, happy to host you and get on the channel. My buddy and I are scratch, would love to play with you. Cheers.-Patrick Holloman
I'm going to MB in a month. I'm gonna play TPC, and Prestwick. I'm looking for a 3rd course not far from camping, i'm considering Legends and/or Arrowhead or i should go with tidewater ?
@@Nekya legends are good but could be a lengthy round. Always jammed. Tidewater very good but could be pricey. Arrowhead not my cup of tea but many like them
This was a fun course, the Witch was harder but fair but no longer relevant. If you’re in this part of MB Man o war, Arrowhead, and Wild Wing are fun tracks to play
@@82markiemark agree with most of your statements. Arrowhead not really my cup of tea but I understand why people do like it. Wild wing I love. Coming out in a few weeks for episode 23
Played man o war years ago water wasn’t really in play. Haven’t played wizard. Did get to play the witch before it closed. It was fun but you needed to know where to lay up.
I stay with a friend that lives exactly a mile from Aero and I almost always play it to practice my short game when I go there. Its always in fantastic shape for a Par 3. Its as much fun as a lot of the full courses. Glad you featured this course. Folks there are always nice too. My best rund there is either 3 or 4 under. I was putting lights out so it helped.
@@kevinscruggs yup I like it a lot, good lil course! I’ll play it some more for sure. I wanna get out there at night Wow that’s good playing. Always fun to get the putter rolling!
Played there back in March or so and I didn't see all those planes, helicopters.Im guessing this time of year there's just more air traffic cause it's vacation, summertime.
Very solid list You have there Parker. Two of my favorites, that I have been fortunate to play, include The Honors Course near Chattanooga, TN and The Cliffs in upstate South Carolina. A sleeper course was Ocean Harbour in Calabash, NC; too bad that course has been closed for many years.
@@frankfarmer3048 thank you! I definitely have a type lol….Honors I bet was unreal but hard to get on I’m sure. I’ll probably play The Cliffs at some point… I’ve heard a few different mentions of marsh & ocean harbor being real good. That’s a shame they closed
Parker, thank you for showing these courses in the grand Strand area. I’ve been visiting there since the 1980s and have played many of those courses myself. Love to see you smoking that 2-iron ,,,can you share with us which brand of clubhead and shaft you are using there? Thanks again and hope you are doing well over there.
@@frankfarmer3048 absolutely! I enjoy making em, thank you for watching! The 2 iron is a Tour Edge 17°. Probably really a 1 iron lol. The shaft is a graphite Tensei AV series. X flex. Cheers thanks for your comment 👍🏻
