I keep forgetting my washing in the machine, too. It often gets re-rinsed or re-washed a couple of times before I finally put it on an airer. An airer, by the way, that I've been tripping over all week full of the previous washing that's been dry for a week. Oh dear. 🙄

My heart sank when I saw the title. I thought: "Here we go again, ADHDers accused of even more attention seeking". Since being diagnosed with ADHD three years ago it's been really tiring coming up against so much suspicion. Seems it's made me as suspicious in return. Thanks for a fascinating video. Got yourself a sub. 👍

A narcissist seeking help is like an honest banker; both are the definition of an oxymoron. Ahh, Mr Trump, so you've come here today to talk about your mental health, as hell opens up a new ice rink.

Sara is defining the difference between having symptoms, and having symptoms that amount to a disorder. She's functional ADH. But I do need to say washing is a 7 part process. The third part - pulling the washing out - can be triggered by a washing basket placed in a very prominent place, like a walkway.

Nooooo, this is all things I do. Now I am wondering if I might have ADHD. (Definitely not me getting distracted by watching YT videos for half an hour while I was just going to check my phone) 😫😫

I'm an Objectivist and have defended rational narcissism for over a decade, as it is a necessary part of rational selfishness within the philosophy (I think this is even more important in the default guilt setting adhd people start life with). I think their needs to be a distinction between the two, as we need this is our defense more than most. We need to center ourselves, so not to be taken advantage of and have a proper self-esteem.

When Alex asked Shappi about how many screenshots on her phone, unread whatapp messages, number of domains she owns, tabs open on her PC and clothes on her floor - I wondered if he is a clairvoyant or had been snooping in my house hahaha. And a friend doesn't believe I have ADHD lol. Thanks for another great interview and thanks Shappi.

I lost my brother a few years ago He was drinking probably the same amount of Vodka you drank maybe more ! I believe my brother went through something similar in his early years maybe sexually assaulted! I don’t know what it was ! I’ll never have an answer to my question now !! I want to learn what he was going through Why he hated me so much He was brutal physically when I was a child ! The mental cruelty was the worst ! For me I have no confidence in my looks in my achievements I’m so proud of the mummy I am to our disabled son !! I want to understand maybe get some ideas why my brother drank so much as his coping mechanism and maybe sometime I’ll understand…. Hugs for this programme

My ex hubby and ex mother in law is like that. Then you have my boyfriend who has held them accountable for everything over 3 decades of choices. Which is now catching up to natural consequences as the kids are 11 and 12…. And my bf just tells them you’ve been given the sources for 3 yrs.. too fucking bad we are not saving your ass of a decade of passiveness and choices to deny the diagnosis… they are dealing with ODD, forgetfulness ( meaning bio dad or bio grandma has to bring us what was forgotten) loosing sleep and time…plus so much more. Where in our divergent loving open house as we all are autistic, add, or other have an open understanding resulting in them following and getting things the first time around with minimal effort. Our behaviors issues in our household are minimal. That is the power of accepting, Learning and being open. That is the power of the contrast.. As my partner says “sooner or later all choices have a price to pay for and that is inescapable”. They chose to deny and now live in daily chaotic frustration where we have said, you know where to find it. You’ve been told.. we are not repeating it to you .. pisses both exes off.. oh well 😂😊❤🎉

I think if you ask someone you suspect has ADHD and you ask them to see a psychologist, you'd get rejection sensitivity.

I think the eggs analogy could be extended to include on of the difficult elements of ADHD and that is being put under unwanted pressure can lead to cracking. And without the structure of, say an omelette pan, a lot of the goodness can get wasted.

1% of the population is still 1 in 100 people. That is still 700,000 people in the UK and they're all seeking power to make them invulnerable. Plus that 1% is a very conservative estimate because, as stated, narcissistic people don't seek help or diagnosis. So, even with the conservative estimate, it is s huge issue. Imagine the amount of damage 1 person in every 100 (at the very least) can do in personal and working relationships, especially if they hold power and control over others. So I'm not so sure that casting doubt about people's ability to recognise narcissism in others is helpful. This is a big issue.

I was hyper-organized when I was working. I would often get a task done as soon as it presented itself because I knew it wouldn't get done otherwise. All of this was a part of my masking. I would say watching this conversation, listening to her (OMG rejection sensitivity!), and her responses to the questions that she is probably ADHD and might benefit from a professional assessment. And, she's obviously resistant. Good interview though. Sara is quite obviously very intelligent, and thoughtful. I liked her.

NARACASSISM is extreme selfishness and then comes entitlement. We can all be selfish can't we.? Yet only some do Gaslighting -the cruelest treatment - (ya think) Stonewalling- Oh yeah ill get back to you! -( sure they will). Word-salad- to deflect and never own their wrong doings.- Antagonise you to push your buttons to get you upset so you re-act to their terrible behaviour But you look worse than them while they calmly sit back with the smik on their face.. Isn't that what some news reports do. ( To provoke to get a re-action) WAKE UP there are more naracassic people in this world then there is empathy. WHy is that you ask? WHat creates a BULLY. A spoilt brat who then grows up to be a emotional immature. Yet is extremely selfish then entitlement oh but will be Wonderful to some and complete tyrant to others. PLEASE WOULD THE WORLD WAKE. UP NARACASSISM is far more a serious problem. Family break down from each generation. Continue the family secrets and lies. - How to break the cycle????? The scrapgoat the black sheep. How does one cope. Hmm i wonder 🤔 alcohol, drugs, emotional eating self sabotag. Domestic violence. If i can't have you no one will Please will someone write a new dam book on The seriously of NARACASSISM before we lose anymore souls. Speaking with 53 years of abuse. 🥹 My question. How does one survive growing up with NARACASSISM. Without becoming a narcissist? With undiagnosed ADHD empath and female. 😵‍💫
