Being new to all this stuff (coming from a hardcore punk guitarist background) I found the synth world to be overwhelming. But after watching loads of reviews and demos, lots on your channel, I finally got myself a Microfreak. I am blown away what Arturia releases for such an affordable price.

I keep coming back here-sorry. But this proves-these Alesis guys were geniuses, ahead of their time. I guess your experience with classic analog patch cord synths must have helped you get this far with this one? I think this is a truly wonderful sequencer, with the Soul of Don Buchla inside. Not to difficult, not too deep to get started, but when you decide go deep it just gets better and better. It needs a bit of manual diving, but hey, power comes with a price. Didn't expect this one to be in your rack, but I am 100% confident it will add millions of new dimensions, even if you just use it for gates and CV. The original used to be called an 'arbitrary function generator' which translates to 'completely unexpected movement' (but not random). It's alive.

I'm about to get 1.. going to use Octatrack or Digitakt to sequence with. I've demoed 1 a while back, & I knew I must eventually buy one then... Could hear & see the potential of 3p's with Elektron sequencers 4 sure. The modelling on these are A1 imo

Nice and gritty, great stuff! The thing lends itself to this on-the-fly scattershot chaos. First got the K1m and did so much patch programming that the buttons are shot. Then got the K1 full keyboard version and it is an absolute thing of beauty.

May I correct you about a statement you made regarding the band count: Fumana actually has 16 bands (not 32) and 2 x 16 bandpass filters - two filters on each band of which one does the actual signal filtering and the second one feeds an internal envelope follower.

When you slowed th tempo down it really came into it'd own. Just fantastic. Really reminiscent of Throbbing Gristle stuff. It seems like ans absolute sonic playground for crafting samples.
