I've been interested in this machine for a while, but when I loaded drone motor sounds into my morphagene I knew I was fine as I was. It's a great design, but they should have done something creative with the motor noise, like turning it into dynamic wavetables or samples you could chop/loop.
Your such a GNARLY perfourmer ! - LOVE IT ! 😎That "Gutteral" and "Throaty" at 9:09 ! and that sound at 19:00 straight ! Awsone sounds! ... Lord of the Dark Arts - Mr.Blush ! Always bringing us the Bitness ! . . . . . BUT , this Gamechanger .... i think its too much of a "One-Trick Pony" , to Spend a minor fortune on - i know , as you said it ... its expensive to make a Gamechanger , nomatter HOW you cut tye cake .... im just not sure i want that slice of cake,- I do love the Plasma Fuzz tho - ALOT !
Yea, we actually tried that - results were not what You might expect. Piezos are great when sound source is something that physically vibrates. In this case motors are perfectly balanced, so no vibration, no good piezo sound. We pick up the sound much like it is done on guitars. You do actually hear motors themselves on "motor voice" - no gimmicks here. Sincerely, Valters - the guy from GCA who made the motors spin! :)
