Do it! I'm not sure how you'd go about using unlicensed games like the one I've built to charge money, but make it happen! This arcade machine is only for private fun - no money generated. Best of luck! 💪🏻
Yes, I love the simplicity of many Japanese things, but the complexity involved in building them. I'll let you know when the plans are ready. Cheers! 🤗
I have been waiting a long time for someone to build a top quality wooden Japanese Lantern on RU-vid, and you are the man. It’s beautiful and excellently constructed. And as most have said I would like to get hold of a plan please.
What a great video, too bad about the coyright and algoritm thing. Don't worry too much about it, good videos tend to blow up again later. The coffee was great BTW!
Thanks Jesper! And glad you liked the coffee. Might have to make a trip back to europe soon to get some more. Cheers for the words of support. It just gives me motivation to make more videos now! Thanks for watching.
You should be proud Jamie, that's some beautiful work. I wouldn't worry about not making many vids, the ones you do are better filmed and edited than the majority of maker content out there! You are getting at least 3x the views of mine with 1/3 the subs. That's a great ratio.
Thanks for the kind words James, and I truly appreciate your support. For most of us it still feels like we're making videos because we love to share, so as long as it stays that way for me I'll be happy. Although a silver play button would put me in the cool club with Jesper & Dainsey! 😂😂😂 Aspirations.
Thank you very much. I'm actually not sure about weight and I did promise someone else I'd weigh it one day, but once again I'm out of the country. I'll see what I can do in July & try to reply then.
Yeah, unfortunately I only got the brief shot at the end of the video where you quickly see it glowing before I had to leave for Japan again. I'll try & get some better shots and post to Instagram when I'm back home in July. Thanks for reaching out!
I live in Japan, I love the old architecture and have been practicing the carpentry fixtures of shrines so that I can make a miniature version at home.
i wish you wouldn't make such cool looking things. Galina wants me to make one of those now. I will look into it after my present project. Thank you Jamie.
Thanks Mario! I'm also excited to see the weathering, especially as the copper greens. It'll remain indoor on display for the next couple of months, then I'll be mounting it permanently outside. Happy to be back at it & hope to work on something new mid year. Cheers!
Thanks mate, and thanks for sharing this around. It definitely does feel good & I'm glad others can appreciate it too. It'll be on display at the Maleny Wood Expo if you happen to get down that way this year. Cheers! 👍🏻
JAMIE !! What an absolutely stunning build mate. Watching that brought such a deeper appreciation to a project that I already thought was amazing. Nothing needs to be said about your film making, you are going to go down as one of the greats! Jesper better watch the throne, he's on notice 😂 Also, I'm very glad that there was no need to splice in Dale's "It's filling with water" clip 😂 Congratulations on another brilliant chapter mate, onwards & upwards! 🍷
Oh shit... thought I would add how eerie it is, that about 12\15hrs ago my partner expressed wanting to go back to Japan & started researching/planning for our next holiday 😮 #synchronisity
Thanks Sam!!! It was a bit of a marathon, but well worth every minute working on it. Learned many things that I'll implement in future builds for sure. And to put me on even a little chair next to the great @jespermakes is a massive compliment. Cheers!
@WoodenItBeGrand look forward to your growth & watching those many things learnt implemented in future vids mate!!! Hopefully life lets it not be too long between drinks 🎥🙌
I'm pretty sure from memory I used M6 inserts, but I also swapped out the original bat sticks for the ball top sticks. I'm not in my home country for the next few months otherwise I'd go and measure for you. Sorry about that. But I think you'll find 6mm is pretty standard, with the occasional ball tops with LEDs for instance perhaps using 10mm. Cheers for asking though.
ME GUSTA TU PALLETCADE ESTA MUY BIEN CONSTRUIDO Y SI PUDIERA CONSTRUIRIA UNO IGUAL.ES EXCELENTE EL TRABAJO QUE HICISTE CON LAS MADERAS QUE SON MUY DIFICILES PARA DARLE FORMA PERO PARA VOS FUE UN PASEO TRANQUILO EN EL PARQUE POR TU GRAN HABILIDAD EN EL MANEJO DE TODAS LAS HERRAMIENTAS.ME GUSTA ESTE VIDEO Y ME DA ANIMOS PARA CONSTRUIR MIS ARCADES.MUCHAS GRACIAS POR TU VIDEO.SALUDOS
Good on ya buddy that was a great video! Well edited 👍 I'm currently making a few Mame arcade videos myself. It's incredible what some people throw out lol
Thanks for stopping in to have a look. I had a go at building a MAME setup almost 10 years ago and while there was some great resources, some instructional videos would be great! Good luck. I'll check them out. Cheers mate!
Yes!!! I've seen a few old jukeboxes pop up on marketplace and the dream is real! But where do you stop? A pinball machine? And old one-arm bandit slot machine? Ahhhh, Nostalgia! Thanks for stopping in. 🙏
Very nice, but lets not act like using old pallets is something akin to rocket surgery. It's just old wood 2x4s that you were able to repurpose, they are still usable wood planks and you have every tool under the sun to make them perfect and like new. The real magic is your gift to turn all of that into a video game cabinet that every person over 40 would love to own.
Thanks for the compliment... I think. Working on a new project at the moment and the video should be out soon. Be sure to check that out for me. I have a go at actually woodworking, not just joining usable planks. Cheers!
