No,not really,Shilton was waiting until they hit them was his strategy, any other keeper would have done better,he got nowhere near them with that nonsense…
@@shanet5604 I have to be totally honest with you i thought those German penalties were unbelievable I think the most elite goal keepers in the world would have struggled to get near them they were excellent but I definitely accept some of what you say
England has paid Germany back time and time again for their World Cup title in 1966, it was a gift. The bill has been paid friends and football Germany is now just a shadow. Welcome friends to Euro 2024 in Germany.
Perhaps it was because of this match in his mind that Lineker uttered his famous quote: "Football is a simple game. Twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and in the end the Germans always win ".
Peter Garrett....sacked and thrown aside by then prime minister and fellow leftie who was then sacked by his own party, kevin rudd. Peter also was in charge totally of the failed pink batts scheme where a young boy was killed in a roof during an installation. The panel crawling to this leftie is pathetic.
Penalties are such a crap way to decide games. The outcome bears little reflection on the team as a whole. Why not just make the second half of extra time unlimited and next goal wins it?
As a german i must say that the english team didn't deserve that.Apart from being an absolutely sympathic and fair team they played great football !! I would have loved to see them in the final instead of the Argentinians who proved once more that they never learned to loose in a hentlemans way.....
