I'm going through my second time with pneumonia from vaping and smoking I wish I learned the first time back in 2021 where I had a severe lung injury bilateral pneumonia hypoxia and evali it really sucks but I'm done this time and you are a great motivation so thank you seriously

@@6tyn9e43 the cough is probably your body trying to clear everything out. I got that as well! As for the pressure, it is very likely a physical manifestation of anxiety. Anxiety can feel like a weight in your chest and like it is hard to breathe. It will pass with time. Take a deep breath in through your nose, watch your belly widen like a fat old man. Then breathe out hard through your mouth, like you’re letting air out of a tire. Somewhat fast and definitely hard. Repeat this a few times and see if this helps. It activates your parasympathetic nervous system and tells your body “I am safe.”
@@persoulrpg Thank you for your comment! I’ve read about this a long time ago and if I’m remembering correctly, one of the suggested hypotheses for this is that it’s due to increases in dopamine. In the long run, however, nicotine blunts your body’s ability to create its own dopamine naturally and can lead to long term issues such as depression.
@@TristaTaelor interesting. In this scenario, vaping could be more dangerous than cigarettes because it often leads to higher nicotine intake due to constant use.
Pretty much the worst thing you can do as any kind of addict is to pair one addiction with another. Being an alcoholic sucks. Being an alcoholic who smokes or vapes is so much worse. It makes quitting doubly hard and multiplies the chances of a relapse. If you become aware that you’re addicted to ANYTHING - seek help. The worst thing you can possibly do is hold off on treatment. Every day that you live with addiction is a day lost. Nicotine is a drug. The fact that it’s legal doesn’t make it safe whatsoever. If you’re suffering from addiction of any kind, there are resources available to you. You’re not alone. Addiction is a disease. Feeling shame for your disease will not cure it. There is no shame in seeking help to treat a disease.

a good tip for anyone is to look into state resources, my state has a program which gives everyone who completes their "stop vaping" program $100 to use with a card you can use at walmart or on bills, nothing crazy but its a nice incentive and comes with free 1 on 1 calls with a professional as well as things like free nicotine gum or patches
