Join me on behind-the-scenes looks at my process behind creating art and doing science! I'm a scientist by training and a self-taught artist, pursuing a PhD in neuroscience at UC Berkeley and making art through Two Photon Art.
So what happens after to the heat packet after it got big? is it possible to cut the solid matter out of it? would it be dangerous if the contents were to left out in the open and lastly how do you dispose of it?
2:13 literally *HOW* do you find that hard to assemble. what in gods name are you doing in life if SIMPLE COMMON SENSE BLATANT PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS like that are "hard". Did you try to fit the square peg in the round hole as a kid?
If calcium hydroxide gets into the lungs (aspiration), serious and possibly permanent lung damage can occur. Betcha the label doesn't tell you that part
I've had a fever which was today starting to get better. I tried this food thing but later i went to walk down the hotel corridor and felt dizzy. I read the alkali water can cause organ damage. I've been having trouble trying to eat substantial meals. Perhaps im hungry and so wasted more on real chicken.
I am staying in a dorm right now. There is no way that get some hot water. I cant make some coffe in mornings and cant enjoy some warm food in evenings. And Im gonna try make a self heating pots. Note: In my dorm water heaters are forbidden. Of course we studens can break it but not always possible. To get hot water I have to walk to dining building in mornings, only mornings.
It's a disgrace how much plastic we all obliviously use for so called convience and comfort. We're poisoning the world ans we're aĺl guilty if you buy plastic shit
This is literally the first video that explains everything in detail of how the room temp water works with the white packet in the self hearing pot. Tysm
Thanks, Christine Liu! I have no idea how the heating element was used and worked, but now I understand your video of the chemical reaction of the heating element could be used for heating food.
Coming from a different STEM perspective I entered into my program straight from undergrad but did research beforehand. I live in a different place, but the pay here is enough to live on comfortably if you're frugal. At my university, if you're in a lab you're being supported by your professor's grant funding. If you aren't in a lab, there are always teaching positions open which are about 16 hours a week maximum of work as the university expects you to also be doing research with your professor and possibly taking classes. In both situations I made about the same amount. I know someone in my lab who is here on a fellowship as well.
WOW! What a great combination of food and science. I loved the explanation of chemical reaction (on a vegan hot pot). Learned something today. Thanks for sharing. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for the easy to understand scientific explanation, this is exactly what I was looking for after watching several videos of these instant hot pot products.
We used one last week and it set our CO sensor off causing many days of no gas as we thought we had a gas leak. Turns out they do indeed set off CO sensors. Will never buy one again!!
That is impossible, there is no CO or CO2 released. Other chemicals and perfumes, deodorants etc. can set off cheap CO sensors, but maybe you did have a gas leak!
