how to make resin petri dishes ~ an art project that is also a cool science experiment! 

This DIY flow painting activity is part art, part science, and all fun! Watch me as I make a few for the first time in years!
I use art grade epoxy resin from Art Resin that won't yellow or fade as quickly as industrial grade resin. I definitely recommend trying them out because they also just created a petri dish resin art kit! I create some space-themed art that would be great gifts for astronomers as well as some dishes that look like agar plates with growing bacteria; which would be perfect for showing off love for microbiology! This is a perfect activity for science lovers to do at home.
I also tried something completely new by embedding watercolor paper from an off-center painting (that video is here: • paint tutorial ~ how t... ) and it turned out to be a successful experiment!
