One of the best reviews of the Legion line. I was considering the Pro 5i, but I think I will spend a little more money and get the Pro 7i, i9, RTX 4080.
Did you buy this from Lenovo directly from their online website? How long did it take for it to delivered? I purchased this same laptop 3 days ago and their order status website still says it is being shipped. Before purchasing the laptop the website advertised the deliver date to be between 3 days up to a week. After I placed my order, on the 2nd day it was delayed 2 weeks! I've looked up on reddit and apparently Lenovo is renown for bad customer service, despite the popularity and quality of their products. Some people were told they had to wait half a year to get their refund on a canceled online order, luckily they got their refund sooner after yelling at support. I will wait the two weeks and if I still get nothing I will contact support, if more issues arise I will have to cancel my order and purchase another laptop from another manufacturer who I can trust on delivering their product to a customer.
I just bought a BOSGAME H68, its does produce a good deal of noise. The fan made alot of noise during my windows install and playing games. I only played old boomer shooters and 2d games.
I really am glad to have found a video explaining all of the consoles. My sister and I have NDSL's and I think that is what I will stick with, at least. The 2DS XL is tempting, though. lol
I used the Belkin privacy screen protector with the easy application tray for 14 pro max on my 15 pro max and it almost fit perfectly. It actually is perfectly covering the screen but doesn’t cover the bezel completely but enough to not even notice. I wonder why that one was too long mine was almost perfect
Awesome review. Thank you for this detailed review of this model. For an windows laptop this lenovo model is awesome. In my region it is priced at ~2500€. What do you think about this model compated to the macbook pro m3 max ? Price difference is of ~1000€. I've found m3 max at the same price as m3 pro. The laptop will be used for programming, daily tasks, probably some LLM, AI in the near future. Thinking about doing cross platform development also, but not 100% sure (only if i go with macOS will include iOS also). What do you think it is a good long term option?
For those asking, the R7 8845hs is equal to a 5800x3d, 15% less than a 7800x3d… but its around 45% more powerfull than a M3 with a better battery life and the best igpu on the market rn (cyberpunk 1080p low 75fps, medium 50fps) Pro tip there is a really small computer named Gmktek K8 with the ryzen 7 8845hs even smaller than mac mini or any sff for around 500$ it’s an amazing value too
It's really cheap, but you should be careful. I remember seeing a video where they discovered spyware on Magician Mini PCs, and it looked like a brand.
Two questions: Can you turn off secure boot in the bios? And does the bios have different modes for the video card, like discrete, hybrid, etc? Thanks.
Dude amazing performance and temperatures are amazing. I used to own the Legion Slim 7, which was a more "premium" laptop which has the same exact specs. That shit would cook my crotch on light use. Same specs. The speakers are really the only things that are abysmal. Other than that I'd say this is the King of 14" laptops of 2024, even though it came out it 2023. For its price of $1100, you get a very well rounded travel gaming laptop. Great battery, great temps, great performance. Bought it from bestbuy btw. No buyers remorse here. O one thing forgot to add is it has 2 nvme slots. For more storage upgradability.
was mir nicht gefehlt dass die Lüftung für die Wärme unten ist, und nicht seitlich ist. Das wird zu Problemen führen, weil unter sehr schnell sich Staub ansammelt
Hi, My laptop is legion slim 14 oled, it still didn't arrive yet, is it possible to use a 65w phone charger ? since the 140W and even the 100w chargers in the lenovo site are very expensive in the country also I saw in some reddit post that charging via type-c with a different charger fried the motherboard, is this true ? you can write "type c fried motherboard legion" in google to find it. please help me. I want to be sure also I heard, playing with the type-c charger (especially a lower wattage one) is bad for the battery health and will degrade faster. is this also true ?
I have discount coupon from lenovo which brings the effective price of maxxed out glacier white legion 7i to 2133 USD .. i will order it anyway but am only waiting for the display comparison to oled to drop soon and i see the difference . Nice work anyways😁

What people need is higher performance with lower watt. Companys forgot that laptops should be mobile useable. Means 2 hours+ gaming on the way or somewhere else. I would prefer the best cpu+gpu with the lowest watt instead of 10-40% faster with +400% watt. Why? battery is limited to max 99.99watt.. means only performance per watt is important. There is no reason for a 300w gaming laptop, then you should buy a cheaper itx pc. AMD make it right but nvidia didnt, rtx 4090 use at least 90w to work. A rtx 5090 with 20w - 80w would be perfect. Silent and also fast enough.

Based on your experience, any additional comments after all these months' use? Do they offer some extras such as 4k camera, 4g lte together with the pacakge? Thanks again!
The issue with both laptops as they have pretty nerfed performance. The G 14 has quite pathetic cooling inside, although it does perform much better than this. The omen simply doesn’t have enough watts to make use of components superior. It’s such a strange choice from both brands
The G4 is definitely better in terms of performance, however it costs about the same, and also has massively Nerfed cooling. I have a review of it coming this week, I am not really a fan of it either
