it is faking the measurements. There is a simple software in the watch that generates the fake glucose readings. some of the watches even ask you if you had a meal and when, so it can fake the number better. it is a crime. it even ask you the calibrate the device by telling it the real glucose reading...

I wonder if its a problem with the dexcom app itself. This spring and summer my G6 would lose connection with the app but the sensor wouldn't lose connection to the omnipod.
Not possible…you need to have a sensor and transmitter to measure an accurate Blood Glucose. Apple also had mentioned a few years ago by doing a retina scan to measure Blood Glucose. Steve Jobs waited too long and lost his life due to procrastination.
Lots of money to be made in this industry, and I used Libre2 for monitoring until I got this watch... This watch is great for many but perhaps not for all people... It tells you when blood sugar is rising or falling, and it is a good indicator to be careful for those who are prediabetic. If you're not on medication or insulin and your pancreas isn't completely worn out, this gives a good indication where your blood sugar is at. Friend had libre2 sensor on and tried my watch at the same time: fluctuations where same frequency but off by about 0.2 points or so. That's close enough to be trustworthy for me... If you can't produce your own insulin, or your medication/insulin shots can cause rapid and huge changes in blood sugar, this is definitely not for you. Also, keep in mind different skin color might affect accuracy of readings
Word on the street is that since Apple lost a patent lawsuit for their oxygen sensor function that they may be re-thinking offering all the cool med stuff they were going to do.
What happens when you change the sensor? Will the values be visible on the watch even after the change or do you have to do something special to make it work again?
This works with Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra and Dexcom G7. Thanks for this video. Great to finally be able to see the values from Dexcom directly on the watch.
Also know that if you are wearing a CGM and your Bluetooth receiver or phone is receiving info and another person is nearby and trying to set up their CGM while in the room near you, their CGM may fail because it gets confused on which phone to attach to. HAD this happen! Sensor had to be removed and tossed.
Hi just love all your content. This video really hit home as I was diagnosed type 2 at 18 I am now 47. Sugars were never good. I took meds here and there. Living on bs 400 and 500/ Got pregnant at 28 then doctors were worried about my dibetes. Was hospitalized to get me on insulin regimine. I don't remember what year it was but I got diagnosed with type 1. Then was able to get the medtronic pump. I am now on Dexcom g6 and omnipod 5. I am due for phone upgrade. Been samsung for years but watching your videos i remember you talking bout apple being so close to watches taking bs without blood. I got the s24 but it is saying not compatible with omnipod. I believe if apple would be better option i can trade. I would love your input!
Regarding Wear OS 5. Blose 1.x shown in the video isn't compatible with it. There's a new version, 2.x compatible with that version. Wear OS 5 does however not allow watch faces to run any code, so Blose has been split into two parts. Blose will just be an app that provides complications, and then there id Blose watch face, also available on Google play.
Thank you for sharing, we have been using such a device for some time. But it is only now that I realized that Apple Computer/Steve Jobs already have that ideal years ago. While up to now, it is proven that non-invasive is not as accurate as the traditional finger pricking routine. We still use it heavily/daily because the results is precise enough for us to lessen our dependency on finger pricking to around once or twice a week. Hopefully Apple would make it even more precise in the near future.
Just purchased to monitor my two grandchildren who are both type one. My daughter has it, and I used it when they slept over and fell in love with this thing. I will now be able to monitor them without constantly running to their devices. Game changer!
The phone can still send the numbers to your watch via bluetooth as long as it was been previously synced and as long as your phone has an internet connection.
When changing sensors, I don’t get the pair prompt. It takes several hours to get the prompt What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance for any help you can provide
I'm not sure if there was an update but I don't get it the prompt any longer. I just go into the app setting to connection and autopromot it to establish a direct connection. Check your watch to enable the connection
Great channels. Good info. Am using abbot libre meter which connects to my iPhone. Convenient. Am looking for a non invasive watch due to prescription medical costs changes every year
FAILED REVIEW! You CANNOT slap these devices on and expect them to give you an accurate read instantly. You MUST wear these devices for at least 24 hours before relying on the results.
@@typ3me I thought it was quite clear, you must wear the device continuously. I'd like to see you (or any other diabetic) do a week review whereas you wear the device continuously for a week while periodically comparing it to the finger prick method.
Omnipod 5 isn’t that reliable. I spend more time manually correcting bc the algorithm just doesn’t do it. I’ve spent hours on the phone talking to omnipod reps and my doctor doesn’t even know what they’re doing. I think everyone is getting whiplashed with all of these releases and in the end there’s too much confusion on how to actually run these devices. I was doing keto and my sugars were still high!
I'm sad too hear that. You gotta find what works for you and stick to it . Which can be so hard to accomplish when new gizmos and gadgets keep coming out.
I'm also android and use G7 and got new galaxy watch earlier this year so not really wanted to switch to Apple. Hopefully Dexcom is going to do this for non Apple users.
I like your channel but frankly, the title should say "Dexcom G7 Direct to *Apple* Watch Setup" ... I kept wondering when you would show how to do this on an Android watch :-(
