I AM FAMILY TO JIMI HENDRIX AND I DID SUB YOU FOR 10 MINUTES BUT YOU TALK SO MUCH FUCKING SHIT ABOUT HIPPIES THAT I SAID FUCK THIS DIRTY STINKING ROCKING MOTHERFUCKER
had my first mosh at green day two days ago. can’t wait to go again the feeling is so addicting everyone is just vibing and the people are so nice. fell over within the first 5 seconds and around 6 people made a little barrier and helped me up before i could even register what had happened. met some really cool kids there. 100 percent recommend and the controversy and stigma is unjustified.
I dont see the point of Deo, go to the showers, best feeling ever! Also get a giant fleece towel, put water on it and drape over head and or shoulders. You stay cooler that way but youll look ridiculous :P
I'm going to Party.San festival next month and your video reminded me, that I haven't bought beer yet. Getting pallets of beer in Germany, when festival season has already started can get tricky sometimes.
For the water bottle, I'd recommend getting a Grayl Geopress and spare filter. They're a little pricey, but I'd rather that over waterborne illness from a contaminated water buffalo. That thing takes care of viruses and bacteria.
Hell, I live in the area where the fuck fest happened at. I didn't go to it. Hell would have been a great event if the ass-hole would have thought more about the fans plus the artists that were there to put on a hell of a show. Blue Ridge Rock Festival Thu, Sep 7, 2023 - Sun, Sep 10, 2023, Around 60,000 people were abruptly sent home from the Blue Ridge Rock Fest when it was canceled in September due to weather. Hundreds of viewers reached out concerned over refunds. After several months, the Blue Ridge Rock Fest team issued a full statement, citing that their delay on the matter was due to language restrictions within their insurance policy. We heard from some festival-goers who claimed that the weather cancellation wasn’t their only concern: Unsanitary conditions, not enough water, and dangerous weather were just some of their claims. Others came forward with claims of illness stemming from the festival, too. The Virginia Department of Health was investigating complaints of gastrointestinal disease in people who attended the festival. Stagehands after the cancellation, one of whom said it was all a mess from the start. One stagehand claimed he and others walked out of the event after Friday night.
im actully going to a big show in exactly a week and the first time (with another friend whos not that used to be in big shows) and mosh pits are actully smt ive been worried about (im kinda small,a girl and im not that strong) but srs this helped me so yeah thanks :)
For the Metal Baddies, don't forget your feminine hygiene items, some advils for cramps etc. Being on your period during a festival can suck on your body but you can still have fun🤘🏻 I'd recommend to bring some Pain meds, antihistamine, first aid kit items like bandaids. Accidents can happen in the pit
I get it. You really hate hippies. You probably hate raves as well. All because you only feel safe at well equipped festivals with a line up of 100 year old metal bands and retiree boomer fans not knowing how to roll a joint. Get a wheel chair.
Great list. I do have one addition, even though it has been mentioned before: duct tape. Just in case a drunk crashlands into your tent and you have no other but to tape the broken poles. Real story, not my own experience.
More items to take. Essential: Paracetamol, aspirin, Super Essential: toothbrush/paste, nobody wants a mouth that resembles/tastes like an ashtray filled with beer.
So nothing ever goes right because of hippies? Considering the original success of the original Woodstock Festival in 1969, i think everything went right at this one because of hippies. I'd rather hang out with hippies rather than skin-heads.
Guys I’ve heard that if your going to one of the big festivals over in Europe, you want good boots. That’s what my friend says who’s at hellfest, she says they’re life savers.
It's amazing how much stuff you can regret not brining without helpful vids like this. I'd have to reiterate bringing water. Do NOT trust claims of 'there will be water stations'. I made that mistake going on a long boat tour. They said there'd be water...they just didn't mention it would be hot and taste like bilge water...GAK!
Perfect timing. 😂 I was just thinking that this summer since I've been going to European festivals for 10 years, it's time I show up with no Gear at all - just shorts, flip-flops and a Vermilia T-shirt!
I can't believe we are here again... just a few days away from rusted axe in Krakow and then festival straight through the end of August. Hell yeah! Good to see you Wyatt!
Just a heads up to you all LGBTQ+ metalheads coming or already in Tuska this weekend, Helsinki Pride is on Saturday 29th so pay a visit there if interested, unless your favorite band is playing then that is. Tuska is always at the same time as Helsinki Pride so it's always worth it checking out both if attending
We got to gatekeep a little. Look at the Goths, they didn't gatekeep enough, and now every kid with an alternative clothing style call themselves goth, and normies bash on the actual Goths for asking people to check out their music or call themselves somethig else. I feel bad for them man. Subcultures got to be welcoming, but firm on what behavious are expected.
I've had similar experience in a mosh pit to other commenters already by anyways. I remember last year at Wacken my ear protection fell off in the pit and lets just say the volume just stunned me so hard I was holding my ears in pain, thankfully a group of guys just stopped the whole pit and helped me find my ear plugs since they saw I was in actual pain from the volume and after that someone handed me a pair of Peltors so I can mosh without ear plugs falling out
@6:25 If going to any of the DWP festivals, they have a great app for each festival with lots of info, customizable schedule, notifications, all kinds of cool shit. See you at Inkcarceration !
Something i always bring is a flag and an improvsied flagpole. The flagpole is really just a fishing rod i repurposed, but i can stick in my hugeass backpack and it doesnt stick out too much over the top. Makes it easier to find your way home, or guide people to your camp when you can tell them "just look for the Jolly Rodger and Dark side of the Moon flags!". If several of you are camping together, you could bring a hugeass tarp to stretch over your tents. It actually keeps the worst of the suns heat out, and will make your camp the most attractive one in the entire campground when the rain inevitably starts.
9:47 cat I would also add that depending on the weather and where festival located a rain poncho is a good investment , compact to carry compared to umbrella, and if it starts raining it doesn't matter how many clothes you had, you will get wet and eventually cold if you get soaked through.
