Fall is the best time to be out in nature. Y'all gotta visit dolly partons hometown in Sevierville, Tennessee. At the base of the smoky mountains, its phenomenal.

Just got back from Asheville but only had one day there and I spent the whole day at the Biltmore, which was fabulous! I really wanted to explore Asheville but didn't have the time. I hope to come back one day and see more. The pinball museum looks like a lot of fun and I love all of the architecture!
The "mysterious" arch-shaped structures held giant steel tubes that delivered water from the spillway from the dam down the steep hill to the power house. There were turbines, not the traditional & picturesque water wheels on common grist mills. The tubes are long gone, probably removed and sold as scrap metal. Next visit, look again; you can see the spillway perpendicular to the road, and there's (probably still evident) a control area where gates were raised & lowered. it's a great park, but I wish they had more explanation of how the plant operated. In my childhood, it was unfenced, and you could walk right in. I guess the modern fencing is for both safety and vandalism control.
My husband and I just moved here in July and we love it. Not sure why you didn’t drive down Horizon South Parkway though? We moved from Central Florida and couldn’t be happier. Cool seeing roads that we drive everyday.
