Hi. My name is Matija, I work as a radiologist in Maribor university clinical centre. I mostly work with kids and thus my primary modality is ultrasound, though I do also other kinds of imaging. I'll publish different interesting pathologies that one can detect using ultrasound.

NOT lung point - it is the anterior costophrenic angle. (ther is no pleural sliding, so there could have been a PTX)

This IS lung point sign. The patient in question had a 2 cm thick PNTH on the affected side. No diaphragm on this video, as it was recorded too anteriorly to be seen.

I’m just curious. If you had a hemothorax with a pneumo, would you still have absence of lung sliding due to the blood in the pleural space??

Still no lung sliding as the visceral and parietal pleura are still not in contact with each other producing the shimmering effect

you would not see lung sliding. just think like when you see pneumothorax and effusion with it. blood will go below due to gravity, you can differentiate it like that. if you slide the transducer below no lung sliding, just hypoechoic image.
