Normal lung vs. pneumothorax 

On the unaffected side we see A lines, pleural sliding (in B mode) and seashore sign (in M mode).
On the affected side we see A-lines, absence of pleural sliding (in B mode) and "barcode sign" (in M mode). The latter is also known as the "stratosphere" sign.
