calls the time around the release of Slender the 8 Pages as "early internet" lol I was like how young is this kid?! ; for context it was released year 2012
Lorn's lure does also have a reminiscence of other barley-known japanese media, wich is actually my favourite movie called junkhead, i did comment this to the dev and not only were they super friendly but iirc they also agreed, great vid btw, love to see games like babbdi and lorn's lure getting a bit of life. also wanted to mention that sludge life does induce you to this feeling in certain moments, and the intercalation of these between some vibey stuuf feels great too ngl, tho idk about the second part since i haven't been able to play it.
I always find it funny that almost everyone who claims to have lived past lives are always famous people reincarnated. No one ever says"I was crossing guard in my past life"or "I shoveled horsesh for a living in the year 900 A.D.".
The original theatrical release was more ambiguous on the question as to whether Deckard was a replicant or not and the discussions which permeated from it I think largely attributed to its cult classic status. Allowing viewers to come to their own conclusion was more poignant as it forces introspection on the viewer to reflect on the narrative to define what humanity is. That's where a lot of the value comes from. The Blade Runner revisions have George Lucas syndrome and removed a lot of that ambiguity with the bonus scenes. To me, that cheapens the discussion on the topic of Deckard's identity since people will forever argue in hindsight and that by in large lowers it's value as a narrative piece.
This emptiness is something that, when I let my mind wander, I always come back to. I'm not sure why, but I've noticed recently that my comfort zone, maybe more just a a curiousoty of mine, is a place I often find in my dreams. A barren wasteland where I can see far, but it always cuts off in a fog or blizzard. Sometimes I hear a swing, or I assume it is by the sound of rusty metal scraping together in rhythm, it could even be an old gate blowing in the wind. But I never see anything. And although it seems like its snowy, it isnt cold. it's not hard to breathe and I'm not uncomfortable. I'm just wandering. Sometimes i think theres more, and it does get me a bit spooked, maybe there's something out there. Maybe there isn’t. But I'm not sure which would be worse.
I remember playing some of the 3D Groove games as a kid, most of them couldn't run on my computer, or if they did, caused it to heat up rather quickly. They could probably all run on my current computer. As for Minecraft, you'd expect something from the more "Modern" internet to not have that much lost media, but much of the stuff that IS lost seems to be largely of versions that weren't released publicly, and Mojang preserves old versions of Minecraft better than Roblox does, which is arguably it's main competitor.
I think the worst thing is how cults try to make you hate your family or seperate you from them. Some people die because a cult teaches them to eat in wrong ways or like masochistic things. Basically saying "doctors know nothing. It's all spiritual shit man" is dangerous. Also you know....spirituality is beyond the physical so it fuels narcissism. The idea that people can feel like the law or this world cannot hold them back is a psychopaths dream
Ah so your the type of person to put someone with clear mental health issues up on your channel like it is a mystery so everyone can gawk at him. Got it good to know
