Hello all and welcome to my channel. We are dedicated to making pathfinder characters for all sorts of fictional characters from anime to disney princesses. So pick a video, buckle up and without further ado, let’s get started.
I really thought you might have gone with Clawdancer dedication as it's got a lot of Wolverine's furious slashing stuff in it, but I like what you've made! I wonder if I could convince a GM to let me have the regeneration feat if I make them a Dwarf, for a comic accurate short king Wolverine? Any thoughts on making Deadpool, or is it too similar?
Claw dancer would have been cool, we just didn’t like that the claw strike you get from it are agile, so they half your rage damage. Deadpool would be a lot of the same regeneration wise, but maybe go braggart swashbuckler so you can never stop talking?
My favorite video yet! The build really feels like wolverine. And i really like the comparison to other builds. Were else am i gonna wolverine compared to stitch on an equal playing field lol. On that note one you should do a video were you go through the best builds ever like most damage best defense etc
yeah the deviant powers make a good fit for Logan, really neat build Btw, does the High speed regeneration stop you from gaining the dying condition? i feel from my read that you still gain it as normal, you just ignore the "knocked out" part of the process
So I had seen none of the movies with Wolverine in them ( at least not recently enough for them to be in my memory) so I went to watch them to prepare and I was like why is this popular?
Good work but... Is this guy intended to actually *make* alchemical items? If so, he would need Alchemical Crafting, I think. Also your ability score increases for level 20 don't make sense. I think you meant STR 6 DEX 2 CON 5 INT 4 WIS 3 CON 2 instead of 346522. Now I gotta go find where you built his brother. 🙂
Fantastic video, now admittedly I don't really play tabletop games. But I do enjoy just watching these videos regardless. Would you mind doing any of these characters? ----------------- Finn the Human ( Adventure Time ) Raphael / Phantom R ( Rhythm Thief & the Emperor's Treasure ) Ulala ( Space Channel 5 ) Cole MacGrath ( inFAMOUS ) Blitzø ( Helluva Boss ) Bunnicula ( Bunnicula - 2016 ) Wario ( Wario Land )
You can just leave them in the comments so we can see them it might take a while if we don’t know the franchise super well but we try to work in as many requests as possible.
I did consider it! I just worry that if the class comes out with too many changes, the build might be outdated. I don’t know how I feel about play-test content in general. Like I really want to make Starfinder content when it comes out next month, but I’m worried because I want these builds to be something you can come back to at any point and still be valid. But then player core is coming out next month and can change up any barbarians or sorcerers I make in the mean time too, so do I just not use any legacy classes? I am conflicted and making Steve a fighter was just a simple way to ouch these quandaries down the road.
I go back & forth between Fighter & Champion for Cap. Roger's personal code is an extremely important part of the character, which just screams Champion. I agree the magical effects are hard to justify, but hes eventually picking up Mjolnir, right? ;) Oh, and dont feel too embarrassed. Every time i record a video, i record myself saying both Ability & Attribute because I'm not confident about the Remastered terminology. LOL All appearances of competence are nothing but clever editing!
Meanwhile we don’t even fake competence over here… but seriously, I can totally understand why someone would say champion. Lord Knows I’ve made bigger leaps to justify a build (just last week Alphonse was a skeleton)
I'll have to disagree with not being a champion, he is like one of THE examples of champion (I think liberator). Though fighter gives you rebounding toss earlier since you don't need to get it through an archetype. I always find richochet stance useless since you will always want returning when using thrown weapons, you can add a shield boss/ shield spike to your shield and add returning to it. I say that because I like talking about character stuff but I do like the build you came up with! I think fighter also fits him and he could also make for a great commander once the class is out. This is a contender for my favorite video of yours though it is a hard pick. Thx for making my favorite super hero <3 !
I don’t know. I still think champion gives us a lot of things we don’t need, like lay on hand even the champion reactions, while thematic I don’t think truly fit what Captain America can do. I do think it fits the theme of the character I just think fighter is a more one to one fit…I could be persuaded either way though. As for ricochet stance, I think the point is you don’t need the returning rune and can focus more on melee runes, while still being able to use it in range, also It’s hard to assume what gear a character will have so the build covers all bases…but yeah your right the returning rune is a direct upgrade and if you have it, you probably should pick a different class feat.
Will always appreciate some builds to take inspiration upon. "When captain America throw its mighty shield 🎵 all those who oppose him soon will have to yield! 🎶"
Mostly because of the mobility options that laughing shadow offered, but also because I wanted to keep my options open in case I decided to make Endavor or Todoroki in the future. There are a lot of fire guys in fiction and we want to avoid making too similar of builds, so with Bakugo who isn’t really a fire guy but an explosion guy, we thought Fire kineticist would fit better somewhere else
@@time2dice Fair. Its definitely true that a lot of fictional characters are very well represented by Kineticists xd. Although I feel like Fire Kineticist gets far earlier access to far more fitting abilities, no? I think that there is a Kineticist feat that allows you to "Jetback" using fire (Or in our case, explosions) to fly at level 1 or 2. Kinetic Blasts also do really well when trying to represent the explosions I thought, and can also be done from lv 1. But as I said, because there are so many characters with elemental abilities it makes a lot of sense to not make them all Kineticists xd. And I think the build turned out to be really cool.
@emptyptr9401 Oh I absolutely agree! Looking back on it kineticist probably would have fit better than I originally thought, and it would have allowed him to use his abilities infinite time per day which more fits the character anyway, but hindsight is 20 20.
Nice video, small recommendation for future ones. May be worth looking at using some of the soundtrack from the show the character is from Overall good video
Other misc thought (this is unsolicited advice so feel free to ignore this) but it may be worth posting a link to a pdf of the build in the comments section. Either that publicly or put it behind some sort of Ko-fi etc. (I only recommend that over patreon due to lower fees). But you have good stuff. (or maybe collect a group together in some sort of pay as you want DriveThrueRPG/PathfinderInfinite style document)
By all means keep the advice coming! We really have no idea what we are doing so we take every bit of advice we can get. Our plan was always to put the character sheets up on Patreon eventually, but we didn’t want to put any sort of paywall up before the videos were of a quality that we were comfortable accepting money for. As for the soundtrack suggestion we just didn’t know how that works with copyright and decided to be safe rather than sorry, but I think you are right some kind of backtrack may help the video seem a bit more professional
@@time2dice but I believe some soundtrack such as fullmetal alchemist/animal crossing I have seen decent sized youtubers use (probably just don't use the full song to avoid strikes?)
When you went for fighter my first thought was that you were going to get kineticist metal and get the weapon related impulses, but thinking more about it idk if that'd really add anything to a fighter
Yeah plus while alphonse definitely conjures weapons throughout the show, he doesn’t do it nearly as much as his brother, and I wanted to make sure the two characters felt different enough to justify two videos despite their similar powersets
