Even with the high prices, we are seeing those "rich" people going out of business or closing many restaurants. Also, we are seeing a huge increase in businesses filing for bankruptcy protection. So, are they REALLY getting richer? What we are seeing is the sharp drop in the value if currency as the government prints more and more out of thin air. NOBODY is getting "richer", aside from some inside trading politicians.
Carolina Tony I can relate with you. I had asthma in high school and I had problems too with high blood pressure and cholesterol. Been there a few times during my lifetime. My elementary schools 4th grade classes always took a field trip there. I think that was my first trip. The climb back out of there is quite grueling sure enough. Last time we went we had to take advantage of the rest stops a couple times.

Unfortunately, the Crowley Cemetery got into even worse shape over the last couple of years. It was vandalized and more graffiti. A lot of trash was dumped all around it. It was actually when the mall was built that earth was dug out for a level area to build on and that left the cemetery in the air. The developers agreed to protect the cemetery and built the stone walls around it. The mall used to take care of it but once Walmart took over all of that changed. Walmart planted the trees that have caused more damage, made the stone turn black and made a safe haven for homeless, dumpers, graffiti and other problems. There are a few people that have been working at cleaning it up a little bit at a time. Hopefully it will be nice again by the end of the year.
