OK now I'm getting frustrated watching this. You don't use a razor to tidy up the edges, it is simply not accurate enough and not needed. Plus you have to drag it along the line rather than just pushing the clipper edge down until it meets the line all around. It's much harder to keep a straight line when you're going horizontally using a mirror than it is to shave down vertically up to the edge in little sections going around the perimeter. Literally nobody online uses a razor to do this. You're making it needlessly difficult and stressful for no reason. Also, why haven't you tidied up the line so it's straight all around before you started using the razor? It's all jagged and fucked up but you sem to not be bothered for some reason...all it takes is place the clippers on the scalp an inch above the perimeter, line it up to where the line should go and slide it down slowly until it meets the edge and straightens the jagged line. Do this in little sections going along all the way around. That is how it's done most easily. You're literally taking none of the advice you've been given online on how to do this properly. You've used the dome for some reason for your stencil even though everyone told you to use cling film to get a proper, true fit. You saw yourself there's a fucking bubble at the top which is going to mean it won't be the right size when it conforms to your head. It's going to be too big. You say you're a member of Mensa so apparently a genius but you fail to do or observe the most basic things, thinking everyone else must be wrong and you can obviously do everything much better, even though you've never done it before....because you're such a genius 😂 you just end up making things needlessly complicated for no reason.
fyi you can shave a spot on dome 8 x 8 in lit 30 fukin seconds. after watching you for years iv'e come to the conclusion you should just fukin shave your head, this wig stuff ain't for you, you're mental with it. my lord it's painful to watch, entertaining but painful. 1- take a beard trimmer and trim an area 8 x6 on top of you're fukin head, 32 seconds, don't need to fukin razor it. 2- get a 8 x 6 wig 3- slap n0 shine tape on wig, slap fukin wig on dome, that takes 33 seconds. also. that's a fungal infection on scalp
looking forward to the reveal aswel! just ordered a piece from ali express at a much better price than the big boys. so fed up with the quality personally. keep you updated on how it turns out. keep going man your lovely
You dont need to use a razor. Detail trimmer with a close setting on the blade will be fine. Using a razor on scalp where you still have lots of hair could lead to irritation. There is no benefit to cutting off that extra 0.1mm of hair.
That shaver is way too big for the purpose. What you need is a detail trimmer. They have small bodies and a narrow blade at the front that sticks out from the body so you can see exactly where youre trimming. There's loads on Amazon all pretty much the same design, gold or silver body with designs embossed in the handle like buddhas and asian designs for some reason. They work brilliantly and are very cheap.
Mate you're way, way, wayyyy overthinking this whole process. What you need to do is book in with a hair system stylist who'll allow you to bring your own system and not make you buy one of their own overpriced units. They'll do everything for you and it'll be done much better than you could ever do it on your first try. Get them to make a template that you can take home with you and then you'll always have that as your guide if you ever mess up or need to get a new system cut to match your shaved zone. I did this myself when I got my first system and it made everything so simple. Cost me £150 to get it cut to fit and for the haircut as well and it looked amazing. You have a habit of trying to overthink and overengineer things when going the simple route is usually best. For all the money you spend on all these little things you think you need (vacuum shaver? 😂) you could just pay a professional to do this for you and then it's done FOREVER. Also, I use a hand held mirror to see the back of my head when I shave. You don't need that expensive rig you've created at all. Yet more wasted money you could've used to pay someone else to do all this properly.
Wow. You look much younger than 50. Don't think that losing weight will improve your appearance. You look good bro. Instead of focusing on weight loss, just tone up.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Once you shave the top part of your hair & get the system cut and hairstyle, you won't even see the poly-skin of the hair system. Just jump & shave the area and make sure you let a hairstylist cut & style your system, trust me it will look great. I been using a hair-system for over 12yrs. and no one knows, as a matter of fact I get compliments on my hair.
why are you measuring side to side with the ruler on dense , non balding bio hair???? im not even with you and can see very easily you are 8 3/4 front to back and 5 side to side. period i don't get how you can be wearing wigs all these years and not have the common sense to keep as much side hair as possible,,,, max 5 inches for you,,,,,,,,,come on man. great stuff, FYI add a min 1/2 inch to length and width ..the systems always constrict. the width on your dome is max, 5 inches,,, you are going to far down on sides,,, always use the most bio hair on sides... the length doesn.t matter as much.
The full topper looks good but if you kept your own bio hair slightly longer you could have easily stuck with the partials..you probably still could but when you glue onto your own hair you will inevitably lose some hair and thin the region when taking out the glue that was stuck on your bio hair. Ultra hold tape will work if you stick with the full topper - I find it lasts better than white and clear glue. You could also try using positioning spray - has made life easier for me - you have around 30 seconds to get the position exactly right and avoid any folds / creases.
Great video man. When I got covid, I gained like 40 lbs. Never could lose it. I tried intermittent fasting and that didn't work but what did work for me was I ate more protein. Almost per LB of body weight. And I lost 30 lbs so far.. you can get in shape man. And your confidence will start to get better. Mine did. P. S. On my systems from lord hair I'm cutting like an inch from the sides, 2 inches, is right wear the tage is, from the back and just trimming the plastic from the front. But everyone is different. But like I said before. You might have cut your hair to low on the sides. Buy it.might be OK. But you will have less hair system to put on your head. Try to use as less as you can get by with. Hope it all comes out where you are happy about it man. Good luck
Informative and hilarious at the same time, as always! Loved the Archibold part! I think the width measurement was too long because you measured between temples, which makes sense since you are not even bald in the other area. Makes this whole thing tricky to figure out. I got a similar situation, your video is helping a lot. Im thinking to go more narrow, but you brought up a good point about the crown position, I dont know if anyone ever brought it up. I guess they just assume we all got bald crown lol.
Airplane smoke detectors don't beep like regular smoke detectors. They trigger a message in the flight deck and a light that can bee seen in the flight attendant's panel. If you do this you'll likely be encountered by police on arrival, you'll pay a HUGE fine and you may be banned from flying in that airline. Don't do it. Get nicotine sprays or chewing gums.
@@prestonghoulipi2015The front hairs are extremely sparse and gone. Get out the tweezers and pull them out. This way you do not have to shave your head stickonhair in the front so it will be faster and easier to put on your hair system. The center and back leave alone.
Oh shit dude. You buzzed off way too much hair. Your sides are now way too low. Hope it works out lol Best part is that because you are an actor, you can always just say you buzzed it into a horseshoe for a part haha
If they are too low I will need to regrow those parts under a larger hairpiece. But the sides are the same altitude on me head as where my front partial hairpiece met my bio hair. It seems to be all about how well the hair sits with hairstyles. I don't know. Its all new and scary.
@@StickOnHairwhat I am thinking to do is: - make a template based on head situation - use the template to cut the hair and also cut the hairpiece to the same size that way its all just cutting everything to fit
You went all out with that haircut haha, I guess now you dont have to cut down the base? looking forward to see how it will look, I need to figure out what i will do with my hair. On the plus side, the shaved part of your head looks fine, you can always just shave the rest of it if it wont look right. Is it just me or is the left/right height not exactly even? might have been just the camera angles.
These video clips are excerpts from a much larger video I'm making. I just posted it early because the Amazon sales are on and you can get this stuff cheaper at the moment.
0:15 - I tried viewing at my head through camera and felt the same way. If I use it like a mirror it actually feels normal. I think it's because we are used to the mirror image. So flip your phone around and use the front camera which will mirror the image and see how it feels. That way, it actually felt normal and what I saw on screen made sense when i was moving hands around.
Man. I'm so sorry. You went to low. You didn't need to cut that much. Your sides need to be higher. O man. Maybe yo can make it work. I'd say you probably went about an inch to an inch and a quarter to low on the sides. Good luck man. Hope it comes out great. Caint wait to see the final results. Sorry man. I don't mean to sound so negative. I'm sure you can do it. Good luck
Too low on the sides? I was wondering about that. I just cut straight across from where my front partial hairpiece edges ended. Should I have gone in diagonally?
@StickOnHair what you do is where you're partial ends you cut your system up along the cut and then back. Yours is a little harder cause you still have more hair in the center of your head and it's harder to judge. It might take a couple tries. What I did for my first time, I went to a place that does hair systems and let them cut and shave my head then afterwards I never went back and I made my own template from the cut that they made and I always used that template to cut all my new systems.. you will get it just dont give up on it. It will get a lot easier the more you do it. Good luck man.
@StickOnHair I mean. Try it and see what it looks like. Usually a person's hair line doesn't start that low into the sides. What you can do is go ahead and make the template the size that you shaved so It fits, put it on . Style your hair. Might want a stylist to cut it first but don't cut it to short cause if it doesn't look right, you can trim the sides only, little at a time, center it on your head. Wear it for awhile that way , giving your hair time to grow. But make sure you don't cut the hair peice to much cause you want it to be able to cover the slight pieces of your head that you shaved. (Maybe like an 1/8 of a inch). Hope this makes sense. It's hard to explain in a text. Good luck man. I promise it will get better and easier and you will be happy wants it's how you like it.
Hey man. After looking again to your video and pausing it so I can see your profile, and I zoomed in on it. You might be good dude. Sorry if I scared you more but just viewing it , it does look like it's cut to low on the sides but I think it might be an illusion cause your back is cut at the same height and usually the back slightly swoops down a little further but you don't have a lot of hair loss in the back like a normal bald guy. So it makes the side look smaller then they are. So if I'm making any sense to you. I think you might be good. Try It and see cause your right, you cut the sides to your front Hairline. If anything you might need your hairpiece to be a little longer in the very back. But I wouldn't shave any more till you make sure how it looks right now. Hope this helps.
