The poly will always look white if you glue it on top of hair. I do a partial like you used to, and sometimes I'd line it up wrong and the back of the partial would be glued over hair. It's worse than having a gap, if you ask me. The whiteness gives it away under any scrutiny, and since it's not really glued down properly, you get the dreaded rustly leaf sound when you touch it lol

I am new to hair systems after a break of over 12 years. Things have come a long way since then. I was a member of hairclub and the worst was when I was at work one day and a new guy said to me at lunchtime, "Can I tell you something"? I said "Sure". He said, "Get the rug off your head". Never went back to Hairclub again. Anyway I bought a 0.03mm thin skin from Lordhair and had it on a couple of weeks ago. I know it's coming time to take it off and clean it and reattach it so your vids are great. As far as removing the excess skin at the front I thought about leaving it on. Yesterday I came across a vid on here from a guy named SanManHairSystems. He has a piece from Lavivid Hair. He doesn't take the excess skin off maybe trims it a little and uses no shine on it. It looks quite effective. The danger for me is when trimming it I cut into the hairline by mistake. Keep it going mate, looking great. Love the sense of humour. I am a Brit hahaha.

Hi stick on hair, not a bad job at all for your first full topper, you definitely should make a full stencil, if you buy the endura unit from Lord hair you don't need to trim the hairline as it comes already done but hair direction is forward or side parting only plus the endura unit is a lot more durable so lasts longer. You should give it a try.

Sorry I'm commenting as I watch. Temp solution: How about keep it long, just trim those back straggly bit. Keep it long enough to tie it back. Get a whiteboard marker and mark a line where the hair piece ends in the back. Shave off band-aid size strips ensuring you dont go past the line, then adhere with double sided wig tape. The front of course will still have glue. This prevents you from glueing the whole thing down so your scalp can still breath.

Mate, out of the box, the standard template is 8x10. If you can cut the template, or have it cut for you before sent, I think 6x8 would be perfect for you. This would allow you to keep the bio-hair in the areas of your lateral humps and just past your crown. Then you could shave just the top of your head and place everything perfectly. It would allow a way better look. Plus it would secure the sides and back of the piece without you having to worry about liftoff. I have a very similar hair loss pattern to you. I would suggest just getting the template pre-cut before it's sent to you, so you wouldn't have to worry about ruining a new piece. Then it would be as simple as dropping it on the shaved perimeter with a full Walker bond, and you wouldn't have to worry about anything. Please hit me up if you have any questions. I would be happy to talk to you. You and I carry the same burden. Great video. I appreciate you, mate.
@StickOnHair
@StickOnHair Год назад
Yes, pre-cut from the vendor would solve a lot of problems. I'm really struggling to make this blend with short back and sides. I don't really want to wear a giant plastic swimming cap - its too suffocating. I shouldn't have to have long side hair, but hairpiece stitching never lies flat when short, so I can't think of a sensible way to blend it. I'm currently working with around six inch wide (forehead width) by five inches deep. Its hard to make it look right.

Make a template and when you get your hairpiece cut to your liking… Have LordHair do the hair cuts for you. Then all you would have to is attach the the hairpiece. With some practice you will do a great job. If you feel you are not ready for a full cap…do what you have been doing but leave your bio hair a little longer. That is when you looked your best.

@rignatz9799
@rignatz9799 Год назад
@@StickOnHair I think the main problem you have is that you don't need a full hairpiece just yet. You have plenty of hair on the back, sides and enough in the crown region to be able to stick with a partial. If you grow your bio hair out you could easily revert to a partial. You don't need to worry about density in your crown area when wearing a partial. You have enough hair for a transplant. If you had less hair on the back and sides and in the crown area it would be easier for you to create a larger template using a whole piece - in my humble opinion I don't think you need it. I wear a full 10x8 piece and I cut the hair myself...it is time consuming but I've been so disappointed with my last three trips to a stylist. Rather than using scissors when cutting the hair I use a shaver...gives a less sharper cut of the hair and a more blended one instead. Or if you do stick with a full piece you could source a mobile barber that will cut your hair at home if you prefer that to going into a salon.

GREETINGS FROM IRELAND Hello Man I can feel your pain with this situation. Honestly, in my opinion, you look really great with your hair cut to what looks like a number 2. I feel you need no hairpiece. Give yourself a chance and liberate yourself. Anyway, if that's not happening I feel that you are years away from having to do a full cover on top. I haven't seen the end of this video yet. For consideration, cary on as you were and blend in the front as best you can and wear a cap to help until it grows a bit more. You might find it helpful to line a light cap with tinfoil to keep the heat out. Best of luck with your decision. Congrats man you managed to pull it off (so to speak). It does look great. 9Some dark eyebrows and you could be a stand in for Colin Farnell.) Best of luck with it and your stage performance. Regards Pat.

It looks amazing tbh, if I'm being honest I like this look much better than with the small triangular hairpieces. Also if you shave your bio hair into the horse shoe shape with just a trimmer, I think it'd hold just fine so no need for a razor. You could create the horse shoe shape on your head first, just don't shave it to where the topper wouldn't cover the shaved zone. Then create a template, then just cut the topper to the same shape as the template. Then just glue it on the best you can and it'll look great.
@StickOnHair
@StickOnHair Год назад
I don't think I can, Addy. Its just way too much suffocation, and I hate the idea of having a horse shoe of baldness. I know it will become that way but it seems like the wrong approach. I'm still trying to thing of a front-only type hairstyle to minimise the shave zone.
@SykesMate
@SykesMate Год назад
@@StickOnHair I understand that, truth be told your idea of getting lace with poly perimeter would likely solve your suffocating issue. I think if you tried to just use the trimmer without guard and shave the horse shoe shape it might not be bad. You probably wouldn't wanna go out in public hatless without a hairpiece anyways, I don't. If you could get a trifold mirror that hangs up over a door you'd be set to shave the horse shoe shape and apply the hairpiece, just something to consider.

Hate to break it to you mate but you're going to have to shave your bio hair, just no way around it, sorry, for the bad news, but that's the only way the glue is going to ever stick! Decades ago I wore a hair system that was intended to work with closely shaven bio hair using a special bonding glue that was designed to attach to the 1/4 inch bio hair, and then with a lace base and poly outer perimeter, tape was applied to the perimeter which then stuck to the bonding material that had been previously applied to the shaven bio hair. Removal after 2 wks requires cutting the bio hair, as this is a permanent bonding material and will not break down to solvents, alcohol, or any other solutions. A pretty extensive procedure and is typically performed by a professional hair replacement salon.

Gotta be honest here as I’ve been doing what you’re doing for years now (full head). You gotta shave the full thing. I’ve never known glue to stick to stubble, I’d say you’ve got about 5 days in the summer heat at best. I used super tape on the rear/middle and it held well. Then glue up front. You’re wearing the system at the same length as me too, same style. For the hair at the back, yep it gets a little bulbous when dry, it was hit or miss every time for me. I would cut out parts of that little by little. I found that having some length from my own hair in the back/sides meant I could hide some of the bulbous finish. I was able to do the hole thing by myself after a year or so basically using my fingers to feel out where the helmet would sit. I live in Japan, summer was a real issue because of humidity. A lot of people said they could keep their system on for a couple of weeks, i maxed out at 7 days because of sweat. Night time was difficult because the system would move a lot when it was all sweaty. I’d wake up with a sloth head. All sideways, hanging off my rat.
@StickOnHair
@StickOnHair Год назад
You sound wise in the ways of my predicament. I never thought about the whole thing sliding around. I guess when it goes around the back of the crown it would be moved by the pillow. Plus you can't see where you're shaving. You have reinforced my opinion that a full hairpiece is simply too hard with too many cons, and at the end of the day you need to grow the perimiter hair to blend it anyway. So many of these problems would be solved if there was decent glue on the market. And I think I would wear lace for breathability on a full hairpiece. I sweat enough as it is.

You could have all your accessories right there with ample workspace. Also, think about getting a Styrofoam head (spotlight sell them) they have a hole under the neck area. Then you get a pedestal fan, remove the fan and motor bit and stick the head on it. Place the hair piece on the head and secure it with needles that have a ball on the tip. All that standing up and leaning into the mirror would anyone frustrated. Finally get yourself a gf or female friend to help you with all this! ;-)

Hey bro .. been wearing a full poly piece for about 5 yrs now . As time progressed the poly innovation has gotten so much better. My hairline now is 100 percent non detectable. Also it’s not that hot with a full piece on ..I sweat like a nut lol and it’s like it’s not even there Trust me do a full piece and let your sides grow out a bit to blend better .You have so much more hair than i do. I’m not advertising here, check out my latest video and you will see how great my system looks pushed back, exposed hairline. I have been watching your videos for a while and I enjoy your content. Your brutally honest and I appreciate that. Don’t overthink the full system thing..trust me you get used to it. Also yes it possible to get a natural undetectable hairline if you use a light coating of ultra hold and cut about a 1/4 inch off the thin front poly …it’s achievable bud. Anyway just wanted to say keep making videos your awesome brother ! PS . I usually cut that front poly with a small precise scissor while I place it on my head and get the alignment correct and where I want it ,it’s much easier to get a more precise cut. Also bro, I do not (at all) feel like it’s even attached to my head, in your reference to a swim cap. I will agree the first few days yes it feels tight, but after that I swear I do not feel it at all. I have watched all of your video’s, I appreciate the brutal honesty and the humor aspects as well !
