I'm 26 now. I have a Masters degree, a career, I speak almost three languages, I enjoy a lot of typical "male" things like gaming. I am in a situation where lots of men like me, but I do not like them, because I have no desire to be strung along on something that will go nowhere or to turn into a guys mom. Sure, I can easily have an endless supply of men, but I am more critical now than before. Yes, it sucks seeing everyone around me get married, have kids, etc. but I know in my heart that I will never be with a guy just to say that I have a guy, and I will not lower my standards just so I can be married. This is not your time to take him on as a personal project and try to convince him to be with you. You will be more drained by trying to chase guys and convince them to take your relationship seriously than you would be just being on your own. And I say this as someone who is now alone in a foreign country. It sucks being alone, but I know I will end up more hurt if I let a guy string me along just so I can temporarily feel less alone. Compared to my early 20's, I am more critical of men and their intentions. On a dating app (which, I use a lot due to the alone in a foreign country piece), I will not entertain any man who has something like "figuring out my dating goals" or "let's just see where things go." I know the real intention behind such statements, they have no desire for something serious and will not make you the exception, so don't entertain them!
