Love this review, I want to visit Bahia Principe Luxury, I have been to some of the other but they are really budget resort for a reason! You get what you pay for! If you just need to 😅escape to the sun 😮and some beach 🏖️ they are fine. Don’t expect luxury

It is a night and day difference with the luxury section. We stayed there and certainly didn't come away with a pleasant experience either. Completely agree. The luxury side is much better and cleaner. Food is better and overall property is maintained properly. Staying on luxury side allows access to both.

Hello and thank you for watching. We actually didn't because there are literally so many cafés and restaurants as soon as you walk out. Also, while walking towards the tower, there are many restaurants with outdoor seating on the way. We just grabbed food from them daily. I am sorry that we can't give an account of the food.
The property is very nice. There is quite a mix of people that work at the resort. Some are very nice and go above and beyond, however there are several that need to check their attitude. There are honestly some folks that should not be in the service industry. We felt that there was always a hand out expecting a tip for everything. We asked were the elevator was and then stood there expecting a tip. I always tip for drink, food and baggage handling, so we were a little dumb founded when there was an expectation to answer a question. Food was ok, not above and beyond by any means. I would give it a 6 out of 10 for the food. No flavor or variety. I didn't see any seafood. My husband ended up with salmonella poisoning 5 days on a 14 day stay. He was bed ridden and didn't get much enjoyment for the rest of the trip. We did see the nurse on site, but didn't confirm what it was until after the trip. I emailed the resort and received no response from them regarding the matter. For this reason I would not recommend this resort, I would not go back to Jamaica. We have been to Aruba, St. Martin, Bahamas, St. Lucia and Costa Rico. I would recommend Aruba and Bahamas over Jamaica any day, they just care more than what I saw at Bahia Principle in Jamaica.
Stayed here about 8 years ago and had a great time with my soon to be wife and that resort was wonderful. Great review it was nice to follow you and remember those areas and experiences we had. Keep at it.
its not $189.. dont forget you also have to pay mandatory resort fees ($50 per day) and self parking ($38 per day) if youre driving so its much more than $189
Every hotel has their own rules. Some have strict policies against it but many are flexible. I suggest calling a few that you are considering and ask them what is the cost to have an "overnight guest". Before that, ask if they allow visitors to have "overnight guests" ;)

Thank you for watching. I am sorry. That is not going to happen in Jamaica or probably any Caribbean island not owned by the US. First problem is, how are you going to get the dog easily in and out of the country? Jamaica, like many other Caribbean islands, is completely rabies free. As such, there is a quarantine period for animals entering the country. Unless you are mega wealthy with a private jet and private resort, it won't work. I am a dog person as well but it isn't allowed.
