I was only doing boomerangs that I have experienced, but if I had to rank it I would put it last for that color scheme lol, That yellow and pink doesn’t look to appealing for me
One of the worst parts of a boomerang is how slow the ops of them are. Yeah, it's unavoidable except for modern takes on them, but even with good ops they feel super slow. I personally found the carowinds boomerang a lot rougher than the st louis one, st louis is relatively smooth at least.
Honestly i keep forgetting the one at darien lake exists (rode it once, ow) because other than the motocoaster there’s just about nothing worth walking allllll the way around the lake for
@coasterseveryday people who usually visit say that it's one of the better boomerangs they've been on, there's a rumor that it might get a new train in the future. Also, they got rid of the "Coast to Coaster" part of the sign, but it still says "not for the lily livered".
Nice video, keep up the good work. I’ve never always understood all of the boomerang hate, roller coasters are meant to be fun, and boomerangs accomplish that for me! They’re of course, not my favorite, but not least favorite either.
@@coasterseveryday fr!! Overhated and underrated for no reason!! I get that some can be a little rough but I try to look past that, and see the good in them
The bat has absolutely no negative G’s and the Positive G’s are good enough to keep you in the seat. Also I’m pretty sure behemoth has a seatbelt so you will survive because you said no restraint not no seatbelt.
Your probably right with the bat, I rode boomerang at Worlds of Fun and I tried to see if it was doable without my body pressing against the restraint, and it was basically possible. But with behemoth I never specified, but for the video it’s also no seatbelts with any of the rides.
@@coasterseverydaysorry about me and the misunderstanding about behemoth. Yea without a seatbelt you might be able to stay on the ride if you are in the front row, but the first hill you will fly right off.
@7:12 I think they very recently removed the over-the-shoulder restraints on Triple Loop and switched to just a lap bar, which supposedly makes it a better ride. Curious if you rode with the OTS restraints or just the lap bar?
3:19 when I was there, Cornball Express actually caught on fire funny enough. Pretty sure you can actually see where it caught on fire at a few points in the video.
A long time ago I actualy had my restraint lap bar fail and come completely unlocked [along with my buddy's lap bar ridding next to me] on Gemini at the top of the end of the final side by side turnaround [where you can physically slap hands with riders in the other train side by side]. I can tell you I was glad to have that lap seat belt becasue we were gripping the grab bar handle in front of us for dear life going into that final run toward the tilt into the final helix and through the shakey final helix. So yes I do know, unfortunately 1st hand, you can survive the final portion of Gemini without a restraint... barely and it's quite scary. But I'm not so sure someone would be able to hold on the grab bar with some of the other ejector elements with more momentum earlier in the ride. (And yes we did immediately tell the ride ops about the restraint issue on the exit platform. They immediately checked it out, saw the issue, notified the operator at the ride control panel, the operator gave some command to the ride crew on the PA, and the entire ride crew immediately followed their procedures to remove the train from the track and had it transferred on the storage track in under 5:00 mins with managers arriving quickly [along with ride maintenance] and taking an incident report from us before we left the platform. I can tell you the ride crews do take safety very seriously, know their procedures, and won't give 2 hoots to grumpy guests in line complaining about a ride being stopped/down if there is a safety issue.)
I think you’re right, lots of positive Gs and the ride doesn’t give up until it’s done. And you swing with the car so I don’t think you will fall out the side, wish I could go back and switch it lol
