This channel posts AMATEUR translations of content related to Korean figure skaters. I am a professional translator, but I do NOT claim to translate Korean (or into English) professionally. While I try my best, my translations may have mistakes! I really appreciate corrections, which you can send to my curiouscat. My goal is for my translations to be as professional as possible, so don't be afraid of pointing out any awkward wording or errors.
This is my second channel. The first one has been suspended for copyright infringement, along with all the translated content (around 190 videos...), which I will reupload gradually.
-Admin, translator and proofreader: I'm not a native speaker of Korean or English, so I would appreciate it if you let me know about any mistakes or weird wording. -Native proofreader and translator, soubt solver (occasionally, will mention in the description box): Yunji. -Native doubt solver: Han (will mention in the description box)
@@asianamericancasestudies6434 I wrote this old comment 2 months ago. She publicly identified him by his age against his will. It doesn't matter if he was fine with what she did to him at the time. She should be suspended for what she did at that camp.
story of "C", especially after his press release, is quite problematic for me. I'm rooting for Happy Haein, I hope she clears herself up - but unfortunately it won't save her career and contracts either
@@tamasfehervari7147 Since she has found *guilty* of her crimes, it's not defamation. You can't sue someone who has not publicly spoken out about you. He is and has stayed anonymous. He didn't make the press statements, he has 0 chance of getting sued. Learn the legal definition of defamation. Also this is a disgusting mindset. You defend the guilty party immediately despite their investigations determining it was in fact assault just because she's trying to save face and you trust an abuser over their investigation team. If she's capable of assaulting a CHILD, she's capable of lying. By your logic anyone that is a victim of sexual assault should be sued for having the courage to stand up to their abusers. You would not be acting this way if it was a girl that was the victim. Shame on you.
I have changed the letters used to identify the skaters (B/C) so this report matches the articles that have been published so far and there's less confusion. Edit: Also, I have seen some confusion related to the terms, but in Korean, the words used to describe what each skater did are different: -Skater A is being accused of 성추행, which can be translated as sexual molestation or assault. -Skater B is being accused of 성희롱, which can be translated as sexual harassment. This is the reason why the suspension times are different.
Jia’s response to the “will you cry question” was interesting. She seems like a very brave young woman. But emotions always have a way of getting past our courage. It’s ok to admit that, too. Aloha 😊🇰🇷⛸️🤙🏼
the atmosphere in the Gangneung Ice Arena was amazing throughout, but unfortunately it did not bring much luck to the Korean girls. e.g. Kang Minji competed with amazing dedication but it was only enough to cry. anyway, in the end at least I saw Shin Jia and Kim Jinny happy after the team competition
the "successfully hosting" is doing. the atmosphere is very good. the problem I see is that the IOC and the ISU have not put enough energy into this event, while the athletes and the local organizers are really dedicated. sad. but fighting
unfortunately, the judges won't let her win even when she's clearly better than Shimada (or Levito two years ago). so unless some huge accident happens...
It was really ridiculous that Levito beat Jia with her terribly painful-to-watch techniques… ISU is a joke 🤡 Once Mao owns 3A and 4T, even she just landed one of them in the free skate, there’s no way Jia could beat her🥲
