Sorry about that, the quest indicated it would need it to be nighttime and unfortunately I didn’t save in an inn beforehand…So I couldn’t accomplish it during the day for video.
so far i just like to tank physical attacks using strongest armors as possible with bonemass as power, for weapons. draugr fang and frostner for me and i have the fire meads on me. i dont like to move crazy fast i take it slow
Even though this is a year old, it's still relevant today (before venturing into Ashlands or Deep North). I like how you broke them up with diff play styles. As a solo player, I tried Barbarian (2 health, 1 stamina) style for a while but because of all the ups and downs I prefer the Assassin (1health, 2 stamina) with black metal sword, tower shield and ooze bombs in the mines and a crossbow and black metal sword everywhere else. I tried the knife but it didn't seem to do as much damage as the sword. I don't have the fenris armor yet but have been utilizing the padded armor (now carpace armor) with root breastpiece for pierce protection. Once I get one more black core, I'll be able to make the Galdr table and finally make magic weapons to try out the Outrider. Things may change though once I venture into the Ashlands. Only down side to all of these classes is you always have to eat after 25 min. lol
That is strange…I haven’t had an issue as long as “The Ultimate Weapon” was completed, and haven’t seen anyone else not be able to get it… I will have to look into that.
I'm a few years late here, but I learned from another video that there are like 16 invisible lines/points that the beehive uses to determine whether or not it is too cluttered. Atleast 10 (don't quote me on that) of these lines need to be unobstructed for the bees to be happy.
The mountain bunker base puts you in extreme danger of "you are being hunted" raid. You made a ramp for the wolves to pathfind down into and there's no way out.
You can place a fire on the big trees, in the swamp, right where limbs branch off from the trunks. With some planning, you can have multiple fires in your tree fort.
Took some time but I was able to get the quest. Thanks for the guide! Also just a heads up there is more to the quest after you finish the last part of apprehending her go back to checkpoint rest town and talk to the doctor. You give him 3k gold and then he goes to the capital and cures him and the other patients. You get more exp and 10 blight arrows I believe and the nuns and lubomir will thank you - his dad doesn't mention anything though.
I finally got a setup I like after trial and error, but I'm also solo. These are good tips. I like to venture out slowly, which increases my chances of staying alive. I also found salads, omelettes and misthare Supreme to be a good food combo ( prior to magic weapons)
so I have to go back to Vernworth and bump into the archer elf again after he already made me go all the way up to basically the elf village to practice with him. like wtf man.
Draugr are pretty easy to deal with when they are alone. Just force the attack, step back so it won't hit you and strike back. You can run circles around an Abomination. Just watch out the wipe attack, that one you got to roll. Wraiths are also pretty easy just roll into them. Groups are a pain as one dodge is exactly not what you want to do against the other mobs.
Agreed! The outposts in this video are meant for quick places thrown together temporarily or small forward bases for portals. If you are staying for any extended time in the Swamp, you’ve definitely gotta build a treehouse!
Your guides are always so helpful. I'm nearly level 80 and hadn't tried going around the west end. I've taken down the 2 minotaurs and chimera twice now! Lol I really appreciate this.
It would be neat to have a Trickster to replace Warrior/Fighter in a group. They probably wouldn't manage to use Espial Incense well at all, but that's a loss I could take.
Three things I’d like: •Latching Effigy/Binding Effigy should be an upgrade to Enthralling Aroma. •Delusory Screen/Fickle Floor should be one skill. Tap to create Delusory Screen, hold/release for Fickle Floor. •Espial Incense/Scented Alarum as one skill. Tap for Espial Incense, Hold for Scented Alarum. That opens up 3 more skills which I think they could be: •Summon Illusory Medusa - Paralyzes foes who see it. •Summon Illusory Harpies - Sleeps foes around you. •Summon Illusory Wolves - Creates 3 illusion wolf NPC pets that charge at enemies (jumping through them). The attack deals no damage, but has high higher stagger. An enemy that is Enthralled, will be focused by your illusory wolves. They have low aggro, but also disappear in one hit/stagger. Recasting the ability removes all wolves and creates new ones.
it isnt weaker...if that's your reasoning for the buff then your argument is already flawed. If you said it was weaker and very very difficult to solo run then that would make sense. But because DD2 is a game designed to use pawns, the Trickster is perfect for what it does: distract the enemy and protect the pawns and buff their almost everything they do.
I think his main point wasn’t that it was weaker. It just doesn’t have enough like other vocations do. It has the least skills of all vocations and Scented Alarum is pretty useless as the Trickster’s tanking/aggro ability is so good, being spying out ambushes isn’t that big of a deal. He’s missing a point about Espial Incense, as it’s an amazing defensive positioning skill. Place it in the sky above enemies and their attacks stop as they run around. By doing this, he doesn’t need Delusory Screen/Fickle Floor and can instead slot in Dragon’s Delusion. Fickle Floor sort of loses its kill power without Espial Incense. But Dragon’s Delusion allows you to kill enemies with Espial Incense without Fickle Floor. Enemies trying to attack off the edge of a cliff will be locked into an “avoid fall failsafe” animation as they try to attack but can’t. Dragon’s Delusion will override the animation with the Fear/Trip, causing them to fall off. I’ve done it to Cyclops, Goblins, and Saurian. Trickster absolutely needs a sleep skill or something to counter Harpies. It’s probably their worse enemy. (Especially considering how spoiled the Thief/Magick Archer/Mystic Spearhand is, Trickster really needs some love). At least the Base of the Trickster is fucking awesome. But it really feels like someone was delegated to work on it, not like someone was completely passionate for it (like Thief, Magick Archer got).
While the Trickster has a different job or goal then the other vocations, it doesn't have enough skills that help them with that goal, so I think they are weaker at their respective job then the other vocations. Primarily I think they need more skills, but more of their skills also need to actively help you distract the enemy or buff your pawns. We have one skill that buff pawns (Aromatic Rally) and I feel like it is a must slot ability. And we have one skill that distracts enemies (Sweeping Shroud) also feel like it's a must slot. All of the other skills the Trickster has almost require another skill to help it in order to be useful. Fickle Floor and Latching Effigy are the other two base skills that I think work the best, but Fickle Floor doesn't help against big creatures unless Espial Essence is also slotted and Latching Effigy is just a long range version of something the Trickster gets naturally. Every Vocation has skills that are weaker or more niche than their other ones, I just feel like all of the Trickster skills are niche or only useful in a very specific situation, a lot of times also needing another skill to help it. I'd like more ways to help against big creatures (sleep skill, push/pull skill) so that the gameplay wasn't just alternating Sweeping Shroud and Aromatic Rally most of the time. We also shouldn't rule out the high possibility that I might just suck at the Trickster! :P
I love the idea of using incense to control stuff semi permanently. Like maybe small monsters to have interesting dynamics like use harpies to reach high chests or carry you but better controls. Or or or the ultimate ability changed so that you can control a 4th pawn.
I don’t think Poison/Burning is the right direction, but you are right it needs more debuff. What I imagine they could do, is bring the Shield Sage’s Binding Light and while the enemy is bound - it replaces your buttons with directions you’d like the bound enemy to move. The Trickster shouldn’t get damaging abilities. It’s just how it is and is a major appeal for its difference. But it absolutely needs more active ways to trick and affect the enemy.
As far as I could tell, yes, it won’t progress to finding the boy unless you talk to her. In my experience Jacint wanders all over that town, I’ve even seen her up at the gate to Battahl, so you might need to venture outside the highlighted area.
Please keep making videos, even if you think you're late, you're not. Some of us don't like watching the channels that get thousands of views, that post videos within a day, and claim they're got all the secrets... yet when you actually watch their videos, and actually listen, they didn't say anything useful, they didn't show you anything new... They just read their script, or, read the in-game tutorial tips we all know, over their bad gameplay footage that doesn't even match, and they want a like? ..also many people skip important steps for time. They spend more time editing their thumbnail, than they do their editing the video, or gathering information... I ALWAYS look for smaller channels to see if they're helpful or not. And some small channels are usually the MOST helpful. Many aren't, but you never know if you will be. Plus I'd rather have more choices of information not just one source.. Seriously, all the channels posting about "DD2 secrets and necessities" and not one single one mentioned port crystal and how the easiest one to get is the griffin's nest... Then once you're all the way down in volcanic island, you can place it there, but not one single "beginners guide" Or "get OP early" even mentions or talks about that portcrystal, or how to get them, or tell people that it's so easy to run there, grab it, run away.. Because that's a video that's only 30 seconds long, and they gotta stretch that 10 minute mark for ads... They don't care to provide information, they only care to make money and trend on what's new...😂
You don’t get a duplicated item from the sphinx, you just get the same item back. I did the riddle with a portcrystal and it got removed from my inventory, opened the chest and it just gave me one back. I preloaded to a save before doing it if anyone wants me to upload a clip to Twitter to confirm for them. What I did do though is gift my friends pawn a portcrystal and reloaded my save and he gifted it back to me so I have 6 but you can only have 11 portcrystals including the stationary ones in total looking at the portcrystal menu when you use a ferrystone
@@blaidd-cysgodol2567 No she gives u two back i gave her a port crystal and that port crystal did not go from my inventory instead she duplicates it and put it in the chest so now u have 2 port crystals
Wait by the oxen north of vernworth. The griffin will usaully pass there a few times hunting the oxen. Dont use fire; It wont fly away if the wings are on fire. Tell the pawns to wait if they are doing to much damage. Just hop on its back, you can let go and ride it without costing stamina just grab back on if it tries to buck you off. It will land once or twice on the way back for a rest. Just stay on it.
I was just looking up where to find these, and then youtube recommended this video to me. Haven't watched it yet, but I thank you for this guide for when I use it later.
