When using the performance feature does all employees have to have an office 365 email address? Also when completing performance reviews how does the supervisor complete seperate private performance appraisals on each of their employees?
Do you have any videos explaining the difference between the functionality of One Drive and Sharepoint? My organization (small team) currently uses One Drive for everything but I am exploring us using Teams and Sharepoint more heavily.
Do you have any tips on adding a standing huddle channel to the team? This would replace other tools such as Align. Would it be better to create a planner for the channel ? Thanks
I am not familiar with Align, but I would say if you're wanting to have meetings and conversations with that specific group of people, I would create a channel. If you are just wanting to share tasks, I would create a plan and add it to the main channel. Hope this helps! Thanks. -Kaleigh
Can I add an excel spreadsheet sheet as a file under the general channel? However, I want to be able to edit it but read only for the rest of the members?
The link that you add in the channel will be the same for every member. I would recommend adding it in two different channels. One for your whole staff as read only and one private for you to edit. I hope that makes sense. Thanks! -Kaleigh
I believe MS Planner will also bring in any tasks assigned to you from a team's meeting notes (aka loop). This is huge when trying to create teams as a working management platform for your organization.
Really glad I found this and will show it to my team in my small business. Very clear and thanks for showing how features and views are used. I hope you make more tutorials.
Can these Outlook Groups be used as security groups for Microsoft Teams? I want to add groups instead of individual people. That way I am only adding or removing someone from one Group and it updates their access in all the Teams they will need.
Hey Guys great video I have shared a file to 5 contractors to edit a excel spreadsheet they have to always log into my one drive is that right especially if they haven't got access to there own one drive account.
I've got a question about a reminder on a task: I want that the task owner receives a notification 4 weeks before the end date of the task. Is that possible?

The biggest failure of Teams (apart from bugs like not delivering the messages on time) is the split between chats and channels. In Slack they are one and the same. You add some people, someone writes, the others see it. People can mute the chats and only see notifications when mentioned. People can make a thread under every message. And people can move chats into groups and collapse them - 'QA', 'Design', 'HR', etc. In Teams chats are on a separate tab from channels, you can't see them at the same time. Chats don't support threads, no more than 1 pinned message, you can't pin more than 15 chats. No grouping, no collapsing, no way to have the charts in predictable locations so you can open them by muscle memory, without typing. The general feeling is that Microsoft made them deliberately inconvenient to push people into channels. On Slack we didn't need Microsoft tutorials on how to chat - it was intuitive and just worked.
If i have created a Team bookings page how do i set up group booking with a session at a specific time on a specific date so people can only pick different sessions on different dates.
I would take a look at our most recent video. Thanks! -Kaleigh ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aI0DnBhsvwY.html&lc=UgyvkvF6cbrNYsLtNPJ4AaABAg
It connects to a Microsoft Team. It does not connect to SharePoint. I would create a Team in Teams that includes your whole organization and then use that Team to create the schedule off of in Shifts. Thanks! -Kaleigh
During minute 16, you explain that people who were included in the group can access the plan. My question is: How can I create another group? Because if they add more people they will obviously be able to see the plan, but maybe I don't want to. Great video, thank you in advance.
My recommendation would be to not connect the plan to a team. I would create a plan in Microsoft Planner and only invite the people you'd want to see it. If you want to add it in Teams, you still can by putting the site link in a tab able the channel. I hope this helps! Thanks. -Kaleigh
Something our Foundation team battle with is recording a discussion/decision log across a recurring meeting. So rather than being interested in the agenda section I am more interested in the views and functionality toward managing a discussion thread with decisions made along the way. We already have Jira but higher up management do not like to use Jira. So these meetings end up in a confluence table with ever growing comments.. which is just bad. Its a sequencial scroll top to bottom (nice and comfy) missing lower down items or skipping over certain members even getting chance to speak. This team has Teams.. so I am interested what tools is on offer to "Manage and track discussion/decision points over a recurring meeting until the topic is marked cleared."
idk, but google drive feels much easier than onedrive. But again, it's just me. Their might be people who feel comfortable using onedrive more than google drive.
You would have to give them limited access to the SharePoint library. You can limit access in the Admin Center. Another thing you can do is change where the files sit to make sure the team members you don't want having access, can't see it. I hope this helps. Thanks -Kaleigh
hi , thanks for the sharing ! Can i ask is it possible filter the number of people schedule in term of filtering it to (Am shift ) and (pm shift ) so that we can have an overview of the manpower resources availability. Thanks
I don't know of a way to do this fully inside Shifts. When you download the excel spreadsheet, you can add a filter to that as you chose. Hope this helps. Thanks! -Kaleigh
I know this is old and likely not going to see comment, but can we import activities rather than entering manually. Activities seems to be the only place to schedule breaks and lunches for my team and we have 30+ (and growing) employees to schedule breaks for.
You can copy the activities from a past shift. So, if your activities are the same for every shift, you should be able to paste them over! Fill out the activity section on a shift -> right click on that shift in the Schedule View -> Select Copy Shift -> Go to the date you also want that shift to be. (You can click and drag your mouse to select multiple dates. -> Right click again and select Paste Shift. I hope that makes sense. Thanks! -Kaleigh
