Norway-based Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra began after the soon-to-be lead vocalists first heard the music of Alison Krauss and Dan Tyminski while watching the Belgian movie "Broken Circle Breakdown" one night in a theater in Oslo, Norway. Inspired by the soundtrack, they got a group of friends together to play the music from the film. After a couple of weeks of practice, the newly-formed Hayde Bluegrass Orchestra recorded “Wayfaring Stranger” in the fiddle player's living room.
Their first full-length album Migrants was released in 2021, nominated for the Norwegian Grammy and debuted #4 on the Billboard Bluegrass Album Chart. On the record Hayde serves up thick vocal harmonies and catchy melodies in their driving, up-tempo tunes and lyrical ballads. With original songs steeped in the folk music traditions of the Appalachian Mountains, beams of Celtic and Norwegian fiddle tunes pierce through the sound of the eight-piece acoustic ensemble.
Her voice is beyond amazing. Her face is beyond beautiful. She's an angel sent to soothe us. And i, for 1, am grateful for this band and the music they've made
You guys are so good. My 3 favorite genres of music are Bluegrass, Reggae, Blues, Rock, Folk & Country and from all of these various bands & musicians you are one of my top favorites. I wonder if you might ever tour in Hawaii, specifically Big Island, Kona side.
I have always wondered what Bob Dylan's brooding mysterious and dark masterpiece would sound like if the brooding, mystery, and darkness were taken out of it. Now I know !
Wherever the Light goes, darkness flees from, to hide in the shadows, from blind and dumb. The Light shines in the darkness, and that darkness will never overtake the Light. Darkness is where hidden sins happen, takin' men down, never saw it comin'. Ignorance is forgivable. Apathy is NOT. Study and LEARN. LISTEN twice as much as you speak. Think for yourself and seek truth.
Excellent. But this was written by Julie Miller for her 1993 album _"Orphans and Angels"._ It was not written by Emmylou Harris, but there is a version where Julie Miller does a duet with Emmylou Harris. Ane Brun did her own cover version, which is also very, very good. {:o:O:}
