My band as M32C and DL32. They want this to be their IEM rack and control Preamps of the DL32. Then, they want to use AES50 to send those inputs to a venue FOH X32 mixer. I am trying to wrap my head around this. Here's what I have: DL32 configured as master clock (48k). DL32 AES A connected to M32C AES50 A. M32C set Sync to AES50A, and routed with AES50A as input sources 1-32. M32C set to Lock the stagebox. M32C set to control AES50A preamps. M32C is also routing outputs to AES50A for buses 1-10 for IEMs. Then, DL32 AES50 B connected to FOH x32 AES50 A port. X32 FOH set Sync to AES50A, and routed with AES50A as input sources 1-32. This should give FOH all our DL32 inputs with Gain Trim only. Thus, they can mix FOH as they see fit for the venue. There is no need to send audio from M32C to X32 or vice versa. They simply want to share the DL32 as if it was a physical splitter snake. Will this work? Is there something wrong with this solution???
Hey Todd, thanks for the question. While I don't see anything jumping out in your setup as being incorrect (other than I might use the M32C as the clock leader instead of the stagebox), in the real world, I don't think this is a good plan. The likelyhood that you'll get a venue tech willing to reclock their system to your stagebox is next to zero in my experience. It's too hard to know what else they have in play to count on it working. Surely, they'll have other stage boxes feeding their amplifiers and zones etc? You'd be much better off using an analog split and handing them XLR tails than trying to configure this at every show. If you were in control of both the FOH and Monitor systems on a regualr basis and know the FOH tech well, it's certainly doable, but as a throw and go band system, this will end up causing more trouble than it's worth. Let me know if I've misunderstood the question though & thanks again for the message.

Can I send both the main L/R XLR outputs (balanced) to a home stereo input device that accepts as input (unbalanced) either a jack stereo or RCA L/R? My thought here is using a cable adapter to connect both XLR to a jack stereo or RCA R/L. Thank you

For work I use it to record audiobooks and edit audio for others and for usual daily internet audio needs, like movies youtube customer zoom chats etc.... has super good recording performance for studio/editing work!
That's a hard call without having them both to compare side by side, but from my experience over the years with Tannoy's System 8 coaxial monitors, I would absoltuley try them first before committing to a ribbon speaker. I'm a big fan of Tannoy's stuff, but have not heard the Gold line personally. Thanks for the message.
I don't like the xr12 and the xr18 for tow reasons first you don't have xlr lock so if you put it on a rack somting might get unplugged accidentally and the second is the preamp are not that good I have the midas mr18 and it is the best it has award wining preamp the behringer xr18 has the midas preamp but the lower grade version
I'd like to be able to have one Catbox 8s on one side of the stage to send a signal to a FOH speaker and two monitors AND to receive a signal from 2 mics and two guitars. So that would mean I'd want to use 3 outputs and 4 inputs from a single Catbox 8....in that case I'd have two Cat cables. One to send and one to receive. Correct ?

If that's going into a phone input & it's I guess a dynamic microphone then the level will be too low to start with - the mic will likely need a preamp or mixer of some sort to bring it up. I have used a condenser mic with it's own battery supply into a phone to get a good result that can be cleaned up further.
Can you please talk about display brightness? It would be really awesome if you even made a video showing the display brightness indoors with ambient light, and in the dark. And also outdoors for those gigs we all have to do sometimes. Very interested in this and can't find information anywhere
i see they came out with 2nd generation, and hope to get the subwoofer soemtime but now that i have the first gen would i have to use the 1st gen subwoofer or wont matter much if get the 2nd gen? and what about the b uild quality of the 2nd gen? some been saying the 2nd gen is lighter and feels cheaper?
If I am doing a production, I might need to do video recording along with the multitrack audio. So, does it give out the multitrack audio apart from recording it on the SD card ?
It's certainly a similar concept. Did you ever get to use one of those? I haven't seen one in real life myself, but I wonder how they are considering they are so cheap.
For in-ears you'd want to use an either a mono or a stereo pair of aux sends. The 18t has six physical aux-outputs which would allow you to do six mono in-ear mixes, or three stereo mixes. You can play around with the App for free and see how the mixes work etc. Thanks for the question.
Is there anyway to send midi CC messages to change presets on the fly??? Is very important for us as band that effects and faders move automatically while backing track is playing
I have a Mackie 1402vlz mark 1 analog mixer. Can I use an Aux Send to send a Stereo signal to an active Subwoofer? Will the aux send signal be a summed signal (say I'm only using 2 channels 1 &2 on my mixing board )?

There is no need to send a stereo signal to a subwoofer, but you can absolutely use an aux send to signal from two channels to a single mono aux output to drive a sub, whatever you dial in to that aux will be summed at the output. I have not done a side by side test with any of their other boards, but the pre-amps are quite good compared to similarly priced mixers and interfaces I have on hand.
