My boss would not allow us offer desert on the house. Basically give them their food and if they dont like it we will discount it. Such a shit way of handling things
Completely correct, I work as a manager in a restaurant. This is exactly how restaurants operate. In most situations not even discounted, the manager knows how the food is supposed to come out, and we asses wheather there is something wrong we would comp or discount it, but if not the guest still has to pay in full Sorry, but I know that "customer is always right" but there is a line.
The second front desk staff answered the phone call better than the first one, but she missed the phrase to offer...after she greets good morning she should say: May I help you? At the end of conversation, she talks very fast then hang up the line...I feel like the guest is still on the line. We should wait the caller hang up the line first to make sure he/she does not have any more to say. She needs Telephone Etiquette training.
The second person was like free dessert and coffe YES,Pleaseeee :) don't mind saying Thank you and a juicy tip for the waitress for been so understanding costumes also need to learn manners when they go out
Hiring new people for your business takes a lot of your time and money. With no insurance that they will do a great job. Some companies outsource for jobs that other companies offer. One job would be marketing.
That first waitress would have been wearing the fucking meal. I've travelled to hundreds of hotels, motels, restaurants, etc...and I'm long past having shitholes try to pass their rubbage off as food so I have one piece of advice for lazy chefs and waitresses/waiters..."Don't fuck with my food!"
Even the second lady could have more attentive towards the guest. Service is an art. It should come from the heart and should have a passion towards it.
