0ne of the best Western and ranks among the all time great movies. Based on a short story, 'The Tin Star, it created a havoc with Gary Cooper playing a winning performance, lifting the Oscar, and a new-comer, Grace Kelly, whose introduction marked the arrival of a fresh Hollywood actress. It proved that a short story can play its part if the theme falls into the hands of a creative producer, who can sign a wise screenplay writer and a brilliant director. Besides, the choice of a music composer who can score a winning song for the movie. Every one who participated in making of this movie is a Oscar winner, no two-ways about it. Recall, how Satyajit Ray dealt with Satranj Ke Khiladi! Amen.
I believe the reason for mispronunciations are actually a love tribute to Benedict's father, a distinguished actor himself, who would often read to him in character. Benedict sites his father's inspiration for his characterization/portrayal of Smaug (the most calamitous and unaccessibly wealthy ... )
before feminism....Nowadays a film like that - by men and for men - could not be made - and if someone wants to remake it they will have to have women in all the roles
@@JamesTobey-z9vNo I agree. I don’t think he had the acting depth and complexity to play the role Gary Cooper did in this movie. Still my favorite actor though
Lyrics….. Do not forsake me, oh my darlin', on this our wedding day. Do not forsake me, oh my darlin', wait, wait along. The noonday train will bring FrankMiller If I'm a man I must be brave, and I must face that deadly killer, or lie a coward, a cravin' coward, or lie a coward in my grave. Oh to be torn 'twixt love an'duty, s'posin' I lose my fair-eyed beauty. Look at that big hand move along, nearin' high noon. He made a vow while in state's prison, that it would be my life or his'n. I'm not afraid of death, but oh, what will I do if you leave me? Do not forsake me, oh my darlin', you made that promise when we wed. Do not forsake me, oh my darlin', although you're grievin', I can't be leavin', until I shoot Frank Miller dead. Wait along. Wait along. Wait along.
Often have I stood in uffish thought....and, come to that, I have more than once whiffled through a tulgey wood when the mood has took. Maybe my gyre and gimble require a little more work, perhaps.....?
Wish that RSC would consider staging on line. Not easy to fly 12 to 14 hours to come watch incredible Art And ...... financially .......to be down to earth.....oops Unfortunately , unstainable.
Such an a truly iconic and beloved character, in one of the most iconic and famous science fiction shows of all time. Also matching himself in real life. RIP Gareth.
