Sounds from the Long Dead
Hush. Tic-Tic. Hush. Tic-Tic. Hush.
This is the sound from the long dead,
We quicken to hear your voice.
We stand with you while you're sleeping,
And when you're not.
Hush. Tic-Tic. Hush. Tic-Tic. Hush.
This is the sound from the long dead,
We remain courteously quiet for you,
So, when we are close, which is all the time,
Your reality can continue.
Hush. Tic-Tic. Hush. Tic-Tic. Hush.
This is the sound from the long dead,
Muster what strength you will,
But soon you will stand with us,
All silent and still.
