These cameras are kind of not comparable. Plus the price difference is vast. You either have to be well off or really serious about making videos if you want to spend 1k on a camera.
seriously?? you are comparing 6.17 x 4.55 mm(Go Pro) with (Sony) 23.5 x 15.6 mm sensor sizes with this justification. This reeks of bias!! You have not done your due diligence as obviously sony a6000 is not a point and shoot camera like gopro. Anyday you will not be able to compare the vlogging outputs of these 2 cameras as long as you are in 1080P and you know how to use the modes in sony a6000. Why wouldn't you use the "Remove Silence" effect? With it you can customize the volume threshold and duration to consider silence in an automated fashion. While you want to remove long pauses you also want to keep the ebb and flow of a conversation. Also, where are the uhms and ahs removal that the title promises?

Bottom line is aperture size. You can't get cinematic quality with a fixed focus relatively small lens aperture. It's clearly demonstrated here. Mac cam has smallest aperture, Mevo next and then the Sony has the biggest. If you are trying to look professional, you have to go with the Sony out of these 3. If you are trying to setup a cost effective basically hands off livestream setup, Mevo fits the bill.

$1,700 in one month on that channel sounds really good. We haven’t hit that amount in one month yet. We were growing pretty rapidly from spring break time going into the summer, but then we talked once school restarted. I guess that we’ll fluctuate seasonally every year.
There was a ton of breaking news in that niche at the time and I'll admit we were in the right place at the right time. Yep, once school starts we're all hunkered down just trying to survive, right? Luckily spring will be right around the corner and people will want to start planning trips again!

yup i feel like i produce the stupidest vids, i always second guess my self. still very new to running a channel and it doesn't help, i never get any pointers, comments, suggestions. pretty bad when you don't even get a dumb comment [constructive criticism] lol not giving up that easy but very hard to find your grove and what people like to see when you barely get 40 views with a vid that's been up a month ..and pretty sure they are mostly family just giving support thanks you tube questing everything now..
