tbh wall jumping can be op at points where you literally fall off while a wall in front of you, meaning that you can just grab onto the wall and the jump back onto the ground (unless you're too low or took too long) and same goes for wall climbing while the con being that the ground is right on top of your head or longer in breadth so i think these two deserve higher ranks.
I kinda use gliding to go across the map without happing to wait on the balloon and i glide everywhere instead of walking but double jump is also good because sometimes im about to fall of the balloon and the extra jump saved meh
As a kid, I never really enjoyed the making-food games, but the platformer were amazing to me. I used Flashpoint to download the game in 2024, and it works like a charm. Really made my childhood better.
My ranking: 10th Pushing - it has like 3 or 4 uses in the entire game, and useless anywere else. I hope if they ever remake papa louie 2, they substitute this for dashing. 9th Crawling - at least this has more uses then pushing. A simple fix for this would be to allow you to walk crawled anywhere, not just below tight spaces. 8th Normies - unless you're Zoe, this is just the early unlockables. Papa louie 2 definitively has too many tho, I would remove some in case of a remake. 7/6th Wall Jumping/Climbing - both do the same thing, climbing is better becouse it has more uses and has much clever uses then WJ. WJ is funnier to use so it's a tie. 5th Ground Pound - great in Papa Louie 2, useless in Papa Louie 3. 4th - Swim Dashing - makes underwater levels good, but is way to obvious when it needs to be used. 3rd Double Jumping - great for vertical levels, good anywhere else. I just think the next two are better. 2nd Dashing - super fun to use, helps a lot when you're being spamed enemies, and has nice puzzles (level 3 and 8 specially). 1st Gliding - skips half of the levels, makes plataforming be easy, it's availible early on both games and it's fun as h"ll to use.
fun fact that I found out myself: You can cheese both of the bosses in Papa Louie 2 with ground pound. Unfortunately, Flipline Studios realized that being able to ground pound every single heart of the boss in one go was a bit too overpowered so they fixed it in Papa Louie 3
The vid was so fun! 2:12 I love to think that Papa Louie 3 skills all have some practical merit. Wall climbing has the least, but in some situations you can skip some frustrating parts of the level with it.
You can actually span dash but it's not very practical. I believe I achieved it by pressing down and spacebar right in the middle of a dash to continue the dash, but its way harder to do than the ground pound technique and way less fun because if running into an enemy at the end of a dash, you can get damaged and there is no way to avoid it. Im glad I'm not the only one who discovered the ground pound glitch because it is SO fun to pull off in Papa Louie 2.
@brunolike8631 that's not 100% true. Gliding is a skill in that game, but it's only 1 character who can do it (Papa Louie). Though as you said, that's because you could only play as him and no one else.
This video popped in my recommended and idk why cuz I think I've only ever seen like 2 papa louie videos on youtube but I am so pleasantly surprised, it was really entertaining and I liked the concept and shit. Earned my sub. I think this girl would actually make a good youtuber if she tried lol. And videos like this too, where she wants to make a video on her own instead of having to put out a video.
Damn the papa louie games were actually so cool though, cuz its like every new character you save can give you a completely new weapon and skill and they have 2 alt costumes two which is so cool. Too bad a lot of weapons are kinda the same and in hindsight, a lot of the skills aren't that exciting. I feel like despite all the great cooking sim games flipline has made, Cactus Mc Coy games will always be their best games. Damn the music in that Game was actually so great too.
Why haven't you mentioned that you can insta-kill bosses in Papa Louie 2 with Ground Pound? This is actually very useful for speedruns, or if you just don't want to fight them, or you just fight them for the first time, duh, even for fun, to watch these mfs suffer and be killed in less than a second.
that's a great question! I didn't mention that because I had no idea they could do that. I'll admit that my least favorite part of the game is the boss battles, and normally I'd use a specialized character like boomer iirc
Nice to see someone covering the Papa Louie platformers. I used to love playing them and still do, and I'm desperately hoping Flipline will one day grace us with a Papa Louie 4.
cori got done so dirty; in pl2 she had the worst skill and in pl3 she didnt even have a skill even though swim boost wouldve been perfect for her since shes literally a captain they didnt even give her the skill that replaced rock pushing for whatever reason. not cool cori is awesome and deserves better zoe too, what were they thinking putting a skilless in the actual last level
@@Amyoo she looked exactly the same 10 years ago when they first sealed off the underworld (as we can see in the visions before Fire MC) which means that she'd have to have been fully grown by then, so late 20's is pretty accurate
Okay i thought about this video a lot for like a few hours. Now that I think about it, Bronya was taking others advice likely because she was thinking so much because of her mother's death.
@Amyoo yeah, I understand that. Honestly, I think that choice was set up for future story content. Interestingly enough, NPC's question the validity of the story, making it out to be like Bronya had killed her mother. I think bronya was worried about that as it would likely seem as if she lied, but in reality, Bronya was telling the truth. They'd see it as a lie because they believe that Cocolia is a good person, which was from her own lies.
It was the right choice, this isn't some happy go lucky everything will be fine if the truth was told. A truth was told one that isn't a lie, which will end up preserving everything that was truly good. The gaurdians themselves were never a corrupt order in the first place i could go on. But its very unrealistic in thinking the truth is always good when the lie in some cases is by far a better answer.
imo the system is in fact corrupt if it allowed the crazed cocolia to thrive and make decisions on her own with no one to check her. honestly I'm more surprised that something like this hadn't happened earlier lmfao
I agree, and also think that as the ending of the story, this is sort of the big moral of it, or the part we need to take away... Which in this case is 'feel free to lie to people if it makes your mom look good'. Personally I think that finding the path of truth, piece and kindness is a better moral than that one. So it's not only from the standpoint of what the characters would do if they were real, it's also what do you want to tell your audience. Do you agree?
As only city left in this planet, a conflict are the thing you wanted to avoid in this case since telling the truth will only bring new problem to already dying last city possibly a civil war also possible with people who supported Cocolia rule might accuse Bronya killing her own mother so she could take the position for herself and the story of she told to the public are just make-up by Bronya.
that's a good point ngl which I also think is part of the problem. I have a hard time believing people would so willingly follow a person so young even in a perfect world. she's also been incredibly sheltered, which to me raises the question of is she even qualified??
Well, as many mentioned, an instability can arise. I initially chose to answer "Truth should be revealed." Coming clean may sound good, but what's next? "Tee hee, we the two young girls will try our best."? Yeah, adults can form their own opinions. Some of which will be like "Dissolve the government! Overthrow the tyrant dynasty!" Belobog was on the verge of falling in ruin with stellaron and Cocolia's actions. Maybe climate will eventually and slowly become better. But Belobog doesn't need a civil war to decide whether the existing administration shall stay. And there is no guarantee new government, a lot of new people would be competent. In a way preserving the old government with a new head to iron out all the kinks is better. From the perspective of the people, the disaster is over and things slowly but surely turn for better. Everyday person just want a good life. There are a lot of examples from history of people doing nothing with "big bad government" just because its bad action didn't turn people's everyday lives for worse. TL;DR. - The folk is indeed babies. You can decide for them, like every government in existence.
this is a good comment. especially the part about bad governments making good lives. but I think that the main idea of setting these boundaries such as "the government cannot manipulate information" is so that the government is not able to blur these boundaries and gradually push until rights are taken away. for example, if bronya thinks it's okay to lie for stability, why won't she think it's okay to lie about other things, like the country's fiscal or political situation to maintain stability? what's to stop her from lying to gain support for something she wants done, or lying to turn people against a faction she doesn't like? etc etc, until the city turns into an oppressive autocracy because nobody knew when to draw the line.
Let's be real yall. The opinion on the Jarilo quest would've been far worse if it wasn't for the fact that it got hard carried by the HI3rd characters...... Also, the constant yuri bait with seele and Bronya, jesus christ dude.... Just make it official already 🙄
If you found the story lackluster maybe you should play Limbus Company because I agree at some point. And Limbus Company had better story than Honkai Star Rail.
@@Amyoo If you feel burnout about Gacha game you should play other game like Library of Ruina or Lobotomy Corporation Be warned about Lobotomy Corporation as the game can made you frustration but the story is really good(as long as you handle the "Grimdark-dystopian future" settings though.
Loved it, can you do one for Xianzhou too? Because we went from a blind lesbian who wanted revenge because a god killed her girlfriend to a woman who was never introduced and apparently lost only because she used a specific attack which link her life to the General
I thought cocolia accepted stellaron help because the preservation path never helped them, i didnt know it was because nanook had something to do with it
Seele knows the underworld is very fractured and knows that telling them what they have lived for the last centuries will ignite a revolt that will end in people just killing themselves due to past grievances, and yes, people is stupid... u can see that was even in realiry, masses will just follow the one that gives them more empty promises
the easy way out in this case isn't the right one. just because it's easy to have people follow you when you lie to them doesn't mean that you should do it. and I don't think people will suddenly decide to commit suicide...that doesn't really make any sense to me
In a panic situation, where there are fugitives roaming around (the nameless) and guards everywhere, I don't think it's wrong to think that the citizens might think/behave irrationally (like kids, yeah) Imagine when they all came back, bronya tell the truth, basically saying that all cocolia's actions are stellaron-based. In this scenario, who is the most believable character? The nameless, that are fugitives? Seele, an underworlder that knows little to nothing of the overworld? Or bronya, the daughter of a deceptive mother? No one. Since the government is no longer trustworthy, I imagine belobog would fall I agree that bronya's choice is not morally acceptable, but I think it's the sanest decision to make
yk what that's actually a good point I didn't think about. I'd still prefer for her to tell the truth, though, and then be forced to make compromises as a leader as she proves herself to be trustworthy in her own right and not rely on what the citizens think of her predecessor. because if you think about it, the underworlders most likely still harbor some resentful feelings for cocolia anyway.
