Great choice. If you are over 6’ you will have to spend some dough on 2-3 adjustments. And the stock seat is crap if over 150lbs. RDL makes a great replacement tho. Besides that; sweetest engine in a bagger. BMW fit & finish. A great motorcycle. Eclipsed only by its faster brother the K16GT.
It's good to hear very good points and information about this machine. I did not decide to purchase because of the other information that I was receiving about it. From my previous experience there is always negatives that people will mention about every motorcycle that one can purchase and I believe that overall you really just have to experience it yourself.
Chris how were you able to install the Empire Collection (modifications) to the Road Glide 3 when Harley insist the collection will not work with the RG3?
I installed that same as any touring model. Was the same as my other Road Glides. I don't remember but I may have done an install video but it wasn't anything abnormal.
I sold the Low Rider S a while ago for like $16k or $17K very low with low miles. I have 3 bikes for sale now. 2023.5 CVO Road Glide for sale for $31K, 2023 Road King (Vicla) for sale for $25K starting bid, and 2021 Road Glide Limited for sale $27K starting bid.
Chris, in a previous video you showed the Harley Empire Collection on your Road Glide 3 trike. Harley tells me that the Empire Collection will not fit my 2024 Road Glide 3. Is that not true or did you make modifications to make the collection work?

@@tctc2470 Not that I know of but if it comes with a touchscreen and new features than I’m getting it. If it’s the same as it’s been unchanged for past several years than I will wait for a touchscreen model and the visual changes. If HD comes out with a DCT automatic with reveal like Honda and the HD has the new infotainment screen then it’s game over. HD would put Honda out of business. The amount of HD dealership outnumber everything. You can get HD serviced anywhere on a road trip or at least pull up knowing that if it’s the weekend that HD always has events and free water and coffee. Oftentimes also free burgers, hotdogs or pizza.
@@ChrisGlides good points. I have heard rumors (which as we know, are rarely accurate!) that it will have Adaptive Cruise, lane assist/warnings and some additional tech but nothing about a touchscreen or a removable tour pack. But would think that adding a touchscreen would be simple for them to do. I wonder why they have hesitated in that regard. But you’re right about the Dealerships. They provide such great peace of mind…And even at some of the biggest Honda dealerships, I am more informed than some of the Sales-people! I had one guy today tell me that the non-touring Goldwing has Traction Control. I had to inform him that he was wrong. It’s only in the Touring model.
@@tctc2470 well one thing is for sure and that is that I will certainly be buying another Goldwing if it have touchscreen or removable tour pack without the expensive remods. No matter what I will be getting a new CVO Road Glide Limited. Gonna cost a Ton of money though. The HD tour pack is always easily removable even without the quick docking station. 4 bolts.

I might try an clean that cut out little piece on the plate maybe even add a dab of silicone so it doesn't chaff the wire. Thanks again

I gotta say im sorry ,, after putting everything on my st and not liking the stock head light I bought the LP6 amber for my bike ,,after not liking anything else and remembering when I went sailing from t-boning a station wagon and cutting my bike in half and because a chinese guy in hawaii illegally and cutting a left turn in front of me and hearing this light is super bright I bought it so ive leaned AGAIN to never say never and knock a guy because I never know later if,,, so sorry Chris. jamie big island by the way great video. c ya
No. Not yet. I think that when the 2024 or 2025 CVO Road Glide limited comes out then there will be a BCM Flash available for this model CVO. The computers that are used to flash currently don't offer the option on screen for our bike because they don't normally come with a tour pack or light. The BCM must be flashed to "Designated Brake Light". The only other option that I can think of I just haven't tried yet. I don't want to say my idea because if it work I will sent out the hack for it but first patent my product and idea.
My favorite Grady is killing the game, Bruh! The king with those 50's on it, took it to the next level. Not a fan of the 2024's but you got it hooked up! Continued Blessings Brother!
Thank you. I appreciate it. I made some mods to make the Road King even louder but Grady with that 131 Stage 4 pushing out the sound is unmatched. I like the looks of the Road King and see more vision for it but most of the things for looks and for show arent the same as stock. Bumpy and windy. Its like riding on a horse. .But I love riding it.
It should but what I do is compare bold location and just see or you can order parts from amazon and check fitting when order arrives and if not can easily return.
Chris, I have learned to greatly value your input and would like to ask for your guidance, if you don’t mind. I am truly passionate about this hobby and currently ride a beautiful 2022 Road King with a number of great enhancements (14” bars, Rhinehart Slip-Ons, Stage 2, Saddlemen Extended Leather Seat with Seat back, TourPak etc…it’s been babied, is stunning and has only 7500 miles. But I’m 60 years old, have had 7 surgeries from football and hockey and my body is starting to hurt - and really think I would benefit from a new Goldwing…here are my quick question(s): 1. Is there any valid reason to have BOTH of these bikes in my stable or is it pure greed? 2. Is there overlap or will they complement one another? 3. If the answer is “that’s a dumb idea”, am I out of mind to sell this beautiful Harley to purchase a GoldWing? How are you able to sell your bikes without emotional attachment? Do you ever suffer from buyers/sellers remorse? I fear looking back and saying, “what in the world was I thinking”…thanks for any thoughts!
All extremely good points. I love the Honda Goldwing more but because there is no touchscreen then that was the deal breaker for me. The supreme pros that the goldwing offers for a person like myself is the DCT automatic feature - Runs cooler in areas that are hot, You can daily commute in heavy traffic because you don't have to shift gears, Various modes to ride crazy hard and fast or go extremely slow by using the crawl or creep forward mode and the reverse gear so that you aren't damaging your knees and risking injury backing up. Big plus is that it uses regular octane gas which is cheaper. The service intervals are double that of an H-D. The price for the purchase of a GW is half that of a HD. You can purchase a Honda GW without the pressure tactics and be in and out in 90 min or less. GW has the push button electric adjustable windshield so that you can add or reduce wind protection. You can ride a goldwing and feel more centered on the bike and since the gas tank weight is not location in front of your body, and central lower on the bike, the weight of the bike feels half that of a HD limited or Ultra Grand Touring. The Goldwing is better in every aspect accept not having a touchscreen and you have to from showroom store your cell phone in your trunk until you add a handlebar mount and run a cell phone wire from the trunk to the front. The suspension and overall feel of the Goldwing makes you want to throw your HD in the trash. I only sold mine to buy the new HD CVO because I am more into electronics than anything and with the new CVO having the new 12" touchscreen infotainment it was everthing that I was looking for in electronics. However, the new CVO had and has so many music and phone connection issues and glitches I regret several times trading a new 2023 Goldwing with 900 miles for an HD CVO. The advantage that HD has over all other bikes are the amount of service centers and shops world wide and you can travel anywhere and locate a dealership to attend fun events, purchase cool everchanging merch, and always meet new friends from all walks of life who are also Harley Owners. The HD HOG Membership is also a plus. I would say that any motorcycle enthusiast must own two bikes no matter how much you hate one and love the other. If possible one should alway own 1 Goldwing and 1-3 Harleys. With H-D you need 1 and a backup because both will have an issue and one will be in the shop or being worked on while you ride the backup HD or multiple backup H-D's. You have a Goldwing and you only need one bike. You will not feel unconfident or wondering if something will happen.. Every HD owner rides listening for something wrong to happen or we carry tools or look for local dealerships for our road trips just in case; but with Honda Goldwing you are confident and you simply ride. No tools even thought about transporting or no thoughts of breaking down or anything going wrong. There is so much more to say on this. I will 100% get another GW if they come out with a full touchscreen. However if HD came out with a H-D version of the Goldwing like a DCT Automatic HD CVO Road Glide LImited with reverse and automatic, then it would put Honda Goldwing out of business no matter what the cost will be. Many like not having the HD sound from exhaust or that the Honda GW Tour Pack requires a very expensive and about 4 hours of labor to install something that will permit you to have a removable tour pack. So GW should make the tour pack easily removable and add a touchscreen and HD would be in trouble and if HD made a version of the Goldwing then honda would be in trouble.

Great video. Love the lights. Are those Custom Dynamics lights on the tour pack? I reached out to CD to get some saddle bag lights, but they said they didn’t have any that fit my 2024 Road Glide. I like yours. They are different than I had in mind.
Have you installed the tour pak lock? If you have so, would you share the part number please? The lock that I purchased doesn't have a projection that goes into the actuator.
Other tour pack parts for remote lock: 1. Power Lock Actuator assembly: HD part # 91800039 price $107.77 2. Cam Lock: HD Part # 90300081 will need vin# or 4 digit key# for parts counter to order price $65.18 3. Four screws: HD part # 10200064 price .55 cent each.
It seems that HD introduced a different CANBUS system on the 2023 Road & Street Glide CVOs and 2024 Road & Street Glide models. That’s why they introduced a new Wiring Harness and LED Tour Pak LED light. I have the same brake light problem on my 24 Street Glide and am still hoping to find a solution!
Hi. I appreciate it. You are right . The tour pack LED that works that they sell is the same old one as before. All other tour pack LED’s work from all companies and from HD accept for this Signature one with the sequential built in. I believe it’s internal inside that specific LED because the same series Saddle bag lights that are connected to the same exact harness operate on all the functions including the Brake.
