I believe it was this line-up including Christine on her first tour that we saw open for Credence. 54-years later that show still stands out; both bands in top, really tight form, and this before the age of sound reinforcement as pioneered by Owsley and the Dead...
I wonder if this is just a different mix to the Album (Then Ride On) because if not it is amazingly accurate to the original Album, that they both had this clearly in their memory to recite over is astonishing, all the same nuances are there. Loved Peter and Fleetwood Mac
Don't ever listen to Fleetwood Mac during the Bob Welch days. It will make you cringe. Bob and Christie were so jealous of Danny Kirwan that he felt out of place, and they pushed him out. Shame on Mick and John for letting this happen. R.I.P Peter Greenbalm and Danny Kirwan...
Madge, one of the great all-time jams. It sparkles and bubbles over in excitement. You can listen to this a hundred times. Can Mick bash out a beat, or what?
It's another example of what an improvisation is and Danny Kirwen pushed the band in a direction that is very different from what people usually label PGFM of.Danny and Peter had a chemistry like no other and the rhythm section is as solid as can be which gave them the foundation to explore. I've listened to it like a thousand times.
The Real Blues are the essence that flowed the vein of old black men and women of the South. When as they have suffered gave birth to the ' real blues ' then it is wise council to keep your smallness private. It is best to be a fool than to open your ' trap' ? and hence remove All doubt. Hey there! Just dropped a fresh video that dives deep into a true crime documentary. It took me a solid 14 hours to put together, and now I'd love to hear your thoughts-positive or negative! Stay healthy, and eagerly awaiting your insights.
I played the paramount theater billed with Fleetwood mac,in 1972..! posters were spend an evening with Fleetwood mac,and my group Jacob's ladder. At that time Bob Welch was playing lead for mac.we stayed at the Portland motor motel..cable did not exist yet,so we played cards after the gig.there was lots of palpable tension due to a pending divorce between John and Christine. She understandably kept in her room, while the roadiies, band members, and a couple of friends, beat mac for 100 dolllars, and a gram of coke. You won't see that in a press release!!! Bob Welch played very well that night, and I will always feel he was not recognized like some other fine players the way he should have been.before mac he was with Aretha franklin
