I would say foundation is necessary as lights wash out their little faces. Try applying the foundation with a brush and setting it with a LOT of translucent loose powder and a powder puff. Setting spray as well, I use the Kryolan fixing spray and it DOES NOT BUDGE😮 Hope that’s helpful!
I feel like it’s also important to remember for stage makeup its normal for it to look a little strange close up. Its made to exaggerate your features and make sure its not washed out in the spotlight
This is seriously absolutely awesome. The tutorial is so calm and in-depth without any of that annoyingness you see in videos from a lot of other people. the process and end result is fascinating, thank you so much!!
That's cool looking, but as a trans guy, one of the things I enjoy is not feeling a need to mess with makeup. I imagine something like this would be very valuable to someone who was really prioritizing passing, but to me, placing too much emphasis on passing feels like caring too much about what other people think. I'm at where I'm at in my journey, and I don't care what people who aren't part of my inner circle circle think about me. When you stop overly worrying about what other people think, it is so freeing, and so confidence boosting. It's something you have to discover for yourself when you get to that point. No amount of telling you will truly show you what that feels like.
It looks more like the 13-year-old facial hair (the point before first shave) than five o'clock shadow. The hoodie even adds more to the kid look, I wouldn't sell you alcohol without ID.
im using this as guidance for playing damian (as a girl) in mean girls at my school. i was pretty lost after watching many videos but this one has helped the most, thanks so much!
I'm not trans at all, but I think it'd be fun to play as a boy for a day. Well, maybe this could also be helpful if I wanna walk out at night (probably not).
Thank you so much! You might be the reason I wind up acing my stage makeup final! Our professor is… not very good at conveying these instructions and only shows us results and a book to go off of.
aaah this is such a great tutorial, and it's not like you had a masculine face to begin with, your natural look is incredibly feminine, so this is all the more impressive, I'm definitely gonna use those tricks!
I belong to a training organization called Casualties Union. We have to do injury simulations for all sorts of medical and rescue training. Recently we were asked to age a 20 year old to simulate an 80 year old who had fallen breaking her hip. I applied your techniques and was impressed with the result - as were the doctors being trained that day ! Thank you.
So helpful, thank you! This video is the only one I'm using and it's been so helpful... First time I tried it, I asked my cast mate for feedback, and she just said, "Perfect!"
