My deceased sister bought me your model J465W around 1981 ish. the only issue is the speaker is clicking when the it is turned off. How can I get it repaired....this clock means a lot to me and everything works on it. The Alarm works like this: You push the alarm button and the digital clock display/time up you simply use the Fast Slow buttom to set the alarm time you need. Mine works great.........I need to find someone to fix this clock. Any suggestions folks. The cllicking speaker when unit is in the Off position is the only issue.
i just got this exact CD player from a thrift store for 6 bucks. bottom says it was manufactured in june 1999. my CDs sound great on it, the speakers are perfect for the bass and all. the light sadly doesn’t work, and the CD player skipped a lot when i first tried to play my CDs in it, but a q-tip to the laser lens fixed the latter.
Had one, from a discount surplus store. POC. Plastic feels like you can crush it with one hand. Ridiculous reception quality and the tinniest sound in any radio I ever heard, probably on purpose for power efficiency. The only unique feature is it looks like a fat camera.
Word and number are likely inmates last name and his Department of Corrections number. Inmates have to purchase items so their info is etched onto it. This radio is almost $30 on website that can ship directly to prisons.
@vintagetvandradiostuff7604 --- Pretty neat, like the SNES compared to GameCube when looking at the GameWave. *I'd never heard of this console.* I wonder if the hardware could play actual video games?
It’s better to tune FM with AFC off, then when you find your station turn AFC on, it locks in the station. Tuning with AFC on lessens finding the best signal.
These look like descendants from the classic RE-6137 from the late 1960s (which was usually in an ivory color). The knobs look to be exact same type on these radios. Thanks.
I used to own this when I was a kid...among the cartridges I had were a few Disney films (Mickey Mouse and the Giant, Pinocchio, Three Little Pigs, Donald Duck's Toy Train), a Warner Bros. Looney Tunes film (Bugs Bunny in the Lion's Den), and a Sesame Street film (Big Bird's Birthday Party)!
Got one of those as a teenager, followed me around for a couple of decades before it got misplaced in a cross-country move. Sounds just like I remember. 😁
You need to spray the controls with contact cleaner.you can put the radio on it's back take off the knobs and spray down the shafts. Work them back and forth and bam it's fixed.😄👍
Any chance I could get you to scan the manual so I could get a copy? I have worn out the internet looking for a HH35 manual but it seems to be the redheaded stepchild of the Cobra line. I can find HH50 manuals and all sorts of hand held marine radios but no HH35
I still use my spacemaker cassette player. I listen to the radio or an old Fleetwood Mac tape i still own, while doing dishes. It came with the house when we moved in 20 yrs ago. It works better than my Alexa Echo Show. I get so frustrated asking Alexa to do something and she glitches out, i yank her plug out and turn on my trusty 40 yr old radio lol.
I had one of these back in 1975. It sounded great, but by then, component stereos were becoming more affordable, in part thanks to Panasonic's Technics brand.
It's amazing that almost all the radios from that area seem to just work. I have a GE from that era and it continues to play just fine without any repairs needed.
