Hi, I am trying to make an ODE model for the velocity of a HILUX but my calculated traction force using wheel Torque/Radius is about 2000N while the negative horizontal axis force due to weight is greater meaning the car would not accelerate but instead go back down the hill. What can be wrong there?
Deciding the tolerance value requires understanding of design process capability and you should base it on design intent . This will help . ..www.school-mechademic.com/blog/specifying-tolerance-for-a-dimension
I have small doubt regarding the camber thrust..... As per your explaination.... Camber thrust is due to the road... But in the end you have mentioned about tread..... I didn't find the connection.... Please correct it....
Can any one please clarify my doubt if all the dimension are in positive tolerance that means 14.1,42.4,14.1 then the sun of all will be 70.4 but the over all length is 70+/- 0.2 only that means 70.2
I think, This is to analyse what will be the max and min of that gap. Actual value always depends on variation in other dimensions. This is just an analysis that helps to find what will be the max width of the gap or minimum. Because if we consider that dimension (42) also definitely the drawing is over constrained.
Please explain on what basis did you selected flatness tolerance of 0.07, positional tolerance of 0.2 , perpendicularity tolerance of 0.1 and position tolerance of 0.1...why not some other values... please answer
The tolerance values are based on normal ranges of tolerances for such components. Each manufacturing process and operation has a tolerance value related to it . For example coarse turning on a shaft may be higher value as comapred to fine turning which might be higher than the case of grinding . The values shown in the drawing are just for reference. Generally form tolerances ( FLatness, straightness, circularity) are very much lower than orientation(perpendicularity paralleism) and Location /position . If it is a precision machined component the levels of tolerances will be lower , but if its made from sheet metal processing the tolerance values will be higher. What are the things should be known by the beginners designer of sheet metal? Any book is available for beginners to know the sheet metal design . please kindly share your suggestion
