So strange how small the world becomes with the beauty of the arts. I just saw your post while watching this video because I’ve always been a fan of this piece by Debussy. I was born in Boston but moved to Halifax when I was one and didn’t move back to the USA until I was 30. I live in Arizona now. The chances of me seeing another Nova Scotian leaving a post about a video is almost zero ❤❤❤
Hi Tokio I don’t know if you’ll ever read this but whatever I wanted to thank you a lot for this song and this clip. I discovered it before you went to BGT and became famous and stuff, back in what 2014 ? I can’t remember whatever I started listening to it everynight sitting at my window and watching the stars, at a time i was more alone than ever, and i was devastated when you put this video down for a time. I actually had to search for amvs with this audio cause i love this version of the song, a bit less the released one. I was so so so happy when you put it back on, like the RELIEF omg It is one of my top 3 song of all time, it really has a special place in my heart, and i can’t dissociate the song and the clip. It’s my favourite clip by far, i think it’s juste pure art, it goes so well with what i think the song wants to vehicle, at least what it makes me feel, being torn apart, the anger, the things inside wanting to go out, i do not even make sense i guess but aaaaah honestly it’s a piece of art that i will always always cherish It followed me for many years, and even though i am way much happier now i always come back here, it reminds me the path i followed, where i was, where i want to go, who i want to be, who i really am. So thank you and keep making amazing music, i love your last release, especially « To wish i can fly ». I don't know why I'm even coming on here to vent the world I've always loved listening to Tokyo play. I'm sitting here contemplating on whether or not and when I should take my life.. I don't know I have a pretty decent life but honestly I have no reason to want to live anymore so why live? A lot of people have a reason or reasons to live. They go to bed at night waiting for tomorrow because they have good things in their life that they can look forward to and not be alone. I accomplished all the dreams that I had. And now it's like I don't even know what I want to do anymore its just like I'm existing I'm not living. I wish I could get what time I have left to somebody that would really appreciate life...
You can see Tokio really enjoys and loves playing the piano because the melody reaches you in waves of feelings only you can savor and know deep inside 🤍
